Hiya guys,

Can anyone be a gem and get me some decent pics next time u go to the pub. Check out the "Realism in our layouts" thread and you'll see that i'm working on making the side-art in our layouts more atmospheric. I need high res photos of pubs and its tough to get them myself as...well I don't drink and dont like the pubs in my area. :?
So YOUR favourite pub could star in the next layout from me and Flyer, so get snapping Oh and whoever takes the pic/s i use will be credited in the finished layout

why dont you browse the internet for pub pics you can find excellent high res pics?

why dont you browse the internet for pub pics you can find excellent high res pics?

Yeah im sure if you was to type in google Pub Pics Hi Res or something it would bring up pages and pages

thanks very much guys But I wouldnt waste your time asking for help if i thought it'd be that easy . I've done plenty of google image surfing and very few of the pub pics are anywhere near "High Res". The ones that r big enough are bad pics.

Anyway, pub pics on the net will never be of the resolution I need to make it look good. Guess the idea will have to be put off until I get myself to venture into some of the grotty excuses for pubs near me with my cam :-( And believe me....that aint likely to ever happen.

Damn..could've really made a difference to the side-art. Now I'm gonna sulk

I'll see what I can do Fin, although won't be in a pub until tomorrow night. A good place would be the one I mentioned in a previous post, where they have 3 bandits RIGHT next to eachother - from Left to Right :

Hyper Viper - Crazy Gameboxy SWP thing - Cops N Robbers

If that sounds good, I can get pics of that, although it'll be weird me going into a busy chain pub armed with me superzoomy Kodak camera

I'll try getting pics from several pubs, I'll say its for a college sociology thing - although I do Maths, Physics and Computing as IMHO sociology is a waste of time, they don't know that

If you are looking for any particular angles, let me know and I'll see what I can do

BB you are a star 8) I would love it if u can get as many pics as possible of as much of the pub you can get,,,, I'm hoping to change the look of the pub for each layout so the more pics the better.

I really need pics an entire pub but specifically the bar would be nice, from as many angles as possible. Also I think some pics of pub tables (the small round ones) would be great as a small table with pint next to the fruitmachine would look good in layouts i reckon. So basically as many pics of as much of the pub as u can be bothered to get please m8.

Imagine I want to recreate the area where the fruity's go, but with a view of the bar in the distance. That is what I want to achieve with the photos, even if the bar aint actually in view. If the landlord gives u funny looks, tell him what ur doin and say we could put his pub sign in there somewhere too (free advertising) hehe
