Hi folks,
I found the package including the 4 Aristocrats australian pokie machines, running on a "Game Emulator V6.0".
I am running Windows 7 on 2 PCs, both with different ATI video cards, but one 32 bits and the other 64 bits.
When I launch the shortcut, I get the following popup:
GOS Panic: Could not set desired video mode at line 1026
I tried all compatibility modes available in Windows 7, including the 640x480 resolution, but I cannot manage to see the pokie main screen, only the control windows.
Please help...

There is a thread I think on this site about the said machines. There may be something in there that may help. You will have to search for it mind but Im sure it will be able to help you.

The prior problem has been resolved, yet now I have a new one...
When I get the feature (free spins) the machine hangs. No buttons seem to work at all. In theory, pressing FEATURE button should start free spins, yet the button is grey (not highlighted). Any idea? It happens in all 4 games.

Launching the correct shortcut solves the problem. For example, in 50 lions,l there is a shortcut named "50lions" - that's the one to use. Same with the other games. Yet, for me they get stuck as soon as you get the feature (free spins). Right now, they are all unusable, stuck in that state.
Nobody has explained how to play the free spins.

Working fine for me when you get the feature the "feature button" should flash "yellow"Launching the correct shortcut solves the problem. you then press that button and the machine should start the "free spins".

The Feature button does not flash yellow - that's the problem. I tried pressing all buttons, the console stays grey. What operating system are you running on? I am using Windows 7.

I have a machine with that as well, I will try there. Is there a way to completely reset counters and configuration of these machines?

Possibly, to enter "operator mode menu" tick the "audi" and "belly panel tabs"I have a machine with that as well, I will try there. Is there a way to completely reset counters and configuration of these machines?
you will see the menu
now to to scroll down to select the option you want, you press " play 1 line red"
to choose that option you then press " play 5 lines" . to go back press "collect take win"
and take it from there.

I could not find any option related to the feature (free spins) in the audit menu. What I notice is that LT1 is the only thing flashing yellow - no other button is available to press. Any other idea? All games are now stuck waiting for a FEATURE button to be pressed, yet the button is not available.

Strange one this, it could well be a p.c issue i reckon. or maybe something is locked up.I could not find any option related to the feature (free spins) in the audit menu. so go into "operator mode menu" and scroll down to "current lockup" and see if there is any "lock up" you will see some WHITE asterisks to the left of any lockup.

Yes it works - I am testing it right now, however using a Windows XP SP3 machine. I will copy it to the Windows 7 boxes later today and test there. Is it possible that I have a bad set of games? Where can I download a good version of the 4 available? Is there any other game like these apart from the set of 4 that we all know (50 lions, indian dreaming, atlantis and the other one that I don't remember the name right now...).
I would be interested in the Queen of the Nile and Bumble Bugs.

PROBLEM SOLVED.
The emulator works only in Windows XP; there is a compatibility issue with Windows Vista and Windows 7. The solution is to right-click on the mainsys executable in the folder of every game, select COMPATIBILITY, then run it in Windows XP SP2 mode.
Now all games work by using this trick. Thanks for your help. Please message me if any new Aussie pokie is made available, I like them.

Jackie, as you can read in previous messages, the specific error is caused by launching the wrong shortcut.
You must launch the one named "50lions" - same for all other games. There is another shortcut in the folder that is very deceiving.
