Hi All
Just picked up an Extreme gaming doctors and nurses running on MPU5 (Barcrest genesis cab)
It came with the decals to change the jackpot.
There were no keys in the program board. I have tried a variable percentage and stakes & prizes key but they have no effect. It seems to be stuck on £100 jp, 5p play which is very boring! The keys I have tried are not faulty as they come from a working scorpion 4 machine.
I have also tried getting the machine into test (red button on program module, then switch under the reel board) but to no avail.
I'm familiar with Scorpion 4 and MPU4, but this is the first MPU5 machine i've had. Am I missing something?
Is it likely a fault with the MPU board or program module. Software version is 1.2 if that is any help
Appreciate any advice
Phil.

There should be a bank of 8 dip switches on the mpu5 board,on most clubbers you change the prize and stakes with them.Hi All

Hi Tommy
They only change the percentage and a few other options, not the prize and stake. I have attached a photo ( I took the keys out for clarity!)

The only other thing i can think of is the software is locked to 5p/£100,theres some roms in the emulator which do the same thing so you can't change the prize stake or percentage. It would explain why you variable keys aint working.Hi Tommy

I think that switch bank 1 is used to set the jackpots and stakes, I can only see switch bank 2 on your pic,on an emulated clubber dips 3,4,and 5 sets the jackpot and 6,7,and 8 sets the stake,so if you can find bank 2 try setting 6,7,8 to the off position and see if it changes the stake to 30p.

Best looking at the MPU5 user guide, and see what is needed to be done
http://www.fruit-emu...s&showfile=2999
Also, stakes / prizes keys settings guide here
http://www.fruit-emu...e-key-settings/
As the mpu has sockets for stake / prize keys, they should work, but you may need to check some of the dips on the 1 - 8 bank pointed out earlier, and turn to OFF.

Horray!!
Right at the bottom of the MPU is switch bank 1 which obviously overrides the stake key.
All sorted now.
Thanks to everyone who took the trouble to reply
