well it looks like the first machine to go on general release with a note recycler will be bellfruit dond make or break.
any wins over £19 the machine will pay part of the win with notes if possible.it will only payout notes if the machine has been played with notes.
dont know why they just dont make large wins ticket payout and then collect from the bar.

There are machines out there already that do this --- the multi game video machines (one with DOND, Andy Capp... etc) on it
Even if you win £1 it pays out via a ticket you take to bar to get your wins.

Yet another retrograde step by manufacturers. I just hope they don't start playing an annoying "coins falling into the tray" piece of music every time a payout happens; really wound me up in Las Vegas, that did.

Ticket and note payout aren't very popular with who I talk to on other forums. It's too much coming out at once, especially if there's a ticket, or a note with a light fingered engineer. I don't want to be so far into a machine before collecting a note, and then the cassette malfunctions.

Most UK casinos esp london ones fruitys pay out using the TITO system ( ticket in / ticket out ) as a player i like it a lot no more dirty hands with all tho coins!
In the rare situations where the machine dont print properly it either goes to hand pay or they can look at last ticket printed / attempted so your payout is never an issue.
I would say this system is far better than being able to pay out notes, but not sure if its legal for UK AWPs to use TITO but dont see why not, its just not viable for the sites to have a PC to run the system in a pub etc.
so my opinion
TITO a way forward
Coins and notes payout going backwards lol

You're right where it is never an issue...well it shouldn't be an issue. I can just see it being a larger issue a lot of the times if you are in a shady pub. Note acceptor messes up, engineeer comes and says there was no note or bank. Similarly they could not have any cash with the ticket at the bar system. Or so they say. If they see such a large bank(£210 should be possible) then they could make up a stupid reason "cheated it" and give you nothing.

Hi
All the machine in UK betting shops use this method of payout, even if you play with cash your winnings are printed out on a ticket which you take to the counter and its paid out, the person behind the counter knows what you have won before you get there as its also displayed on a computer screen behind the counter, so even if the ticket fails to print, thay know what it should have had printed on it so thay can still pay you out, I would think if this was introduced into arcades then it would work in a simular way so there would be teminials in all of the areas where you can take your ticket to get swapped for cash so as long as you know which machine you were on if the ticket fails to print then thay would just look on the screen to see what you had won and then pay you out, so no more of this £210 quid in the bank you say and it did not pay out and you did not get it checked, hard luck then no pay out for you sir, as the computer will show them exatcly what should have been paid to you, and obviously only you would know the exact amount so as a check thay will ask you what the amount is.
Regards

I agree with this on the machines with a jackpot of £70 upwards, but its really not viable for the £5 jackpots, would cost too much money for arcades to implement compared to the revenue which they would save by doing so in my view. This system should be allowed in everywhere, but if it was it should be regulated by gamcare or someone to make sure there arent no shady places that refuse to pay out a legit win, I myself have almost not had a £250 paid out, but everyone in the club saw so would have/should have backed me up if it failed to. The shady pubs and clubs should get given them, can't select who is/isn't shady really unless theres proof, but with the complaints being sent to gamcare the more that get given against that establishment, they should then go and check it out, and if the pay outs which haven't been paid are legit, then there should be a fine to the pub around the £20,000 mark, and the payouts should then be honoured and the pub banned from having a machine ever again, unless new owners come in. But thats just my view

Gamcare is only there for people who have gambling addictions, they dont regulate the gaming industry.

It looks as though I feel differently!
The clatter of coins is part of the fun IMO.
I don't play in the wild, but I own 4 machines and all but one have slide payouts as I don't even like hoppers much!! I love the sound of the payout slides (ok maybe i'm sad, but there are quite a few over at the mecca that will agree with me!)
My mate plays machines from time to time, and he's not keen on note payout either
Phil.

They're rolling out a few places now. Witnessed my 1st note payout in london last week on a new Mega DOND
Barcrest have also started using them on Take it or leave it.
Ticket payout will never work, the only pub I've played a ticket payout I've not been back too, Matchday and I win £10 that takes me over 10 minutes to claim at the bar and the landlord wasn't happy because he had to go to wherever his float was to sort out.
There's just so many pitfalls with ticket payout, Pubs not having money on site to cover a £140 payout, lanlords noticing your face after several £70 payouts, A barring soon comes. feeling stupid queueing at the bar for £2 or another small amount.
Note payouts are a good idea, strangely it's restricted to £10 note payouts at the moment though.

Agreed it will be a pain but Enterprise and other large pub cos have tryed the Juice multi-play awp terminal and have decided it will be rolled out replacing over 85% of analoge awps, therefore your going to encounter quite a few more in the next 12 months.
The only good thing with this kind of payout is you cut down on fraud and scammers, even toolers will stuggle to earn cash on these machines so i can understand why there pushing the change.
Note payout IMO is just another way to loose cash out to people who what to rob/ scam the awp, once again spoiling the real players fun.

So you win notes.
Play again with notes and some machines take £5 of plays straight from you.
One day maybe all machines will round wins up to the nearest £10, just to pay you a note out

No some of the newer machines allow you to take the credits back out again.
Starleisure I fully understand the manufacturers needs to cut down on fraud - but they need to find a balance somewhere, £2 ticket payouts are just stupid. It needs to be over £20 or something like that.

I have to say I hate this news its wrong in so may ways like it has been said before I like to hear the coins pay out thats part of the fun you get a ticket and try and take it to the bar and they aint got cash what happens then if its a bar you dont know people will not play there machines full stop plus if people behind the bar can see how much you have won or not won it will make it more easy to shark people what most bar staff do in London anyway also Note payouts is just wrong they will mess up all the time you can BANK on it
and you will not think its a good thing when this happens and you have a £200 bank

Agreed, but little companies like myself are going to struggle buying either note or ticket payout equipment when its added, as it stands now the note recycler cost about £400 plus vat to add to an awp.
I dont want note or ticket payout, but i can understand why the ticket payout looks a good idea to the big pub cos, since £70 jackpots were released ive noticed more awps are getting more attention as far as people aiming to rip them off.

I know it's a weid comparison, but it puts me in mind of those self-service checkout's at tesco etc.
Say you purchase something for £4.50 and you pay with a £20 note, you get back a ten and a five in notes and the fifty pence in change. That seems to work OK.
