hey guys

Im struggling with folder structure for FMIEW. I dont know what the folder structure should look like & dont know where files should be held.

At the moment I have this folder structure, but I dont know where everything shoul be stored. As an example, if I want to play Indiana Jones using JPemu, what files do I need & where. At moment I have the layouts under a subdirectory of the Layouts/JPemu folder. But it comes up with an error about no sound roms...

Any basic help you can provide would be really appreciated - thanks

Fruit Machines

Layouts--(BFMulator, JPemu, MFME subdirectories)
MPU5 Hexfiles
ROMS
Snapshots--(BFMulator, JPemu, MFME subdirectories)
SWP Machine Roms

nope - got them from someone I know & they were all compressed & by looks of it each needs the roms and the layouts umcpompressing and combining into same location to work/

However, thanks for your responses - I will watch the video link tonight - Im sure that will help out a lot.

Ahhhh..ok i got them from a torrent site thats the way they came..in no particular order and ROMS and layouts all over the place..i ended up binning it.

Best way i find to do it is to make 4 folders..BFM..JPM..MFME 3.2 and MFME 10.1 then within those folders make new folders for each game..download the layout and the ROM (if required) into each named folder.

Then when you load up the emulator just need to navigate to the particularly named folder..keeps everything neat and tidy that way.

In MFME you can just shove all the files in together and let the game manager sort it out if you want to - it'll even tell you where bits and pieces are missing.
