Apologies for the amateur question but what exactly is an invincible mode ???

When you enter a feature board, the same thing happens over and over again. But on an Invincible Mode the main logo may flash, or parts of the machine light up red. Also, different sound effects may play and usually a message comes up on the display such as "All the way" or something.
This means you cannot lose and you are guaranteed to get the jackpot.

Many thanks for the answer, despite my (limited) experience on playing fruit machines I dare say I have never seen this before.

Yeah it is rare, but normally if they take enough cash without paying out for a while a red mode comes along in the end! (red mode is Invincible...)
