Yet another thats skanking beyond belief.
After ages and ages of not gambling on these crappy £70jp machines I gave in to this machine at the weatherspoons earlier today.
It was 80% payout "aparantly"... So in any fruit machine terms thats good... at best maybe I could of been £20 or so up... at worst £10 down.
25p mode is of course bs because the football symbols dont count unless the spin is 50p+
I played 50p a spin and after £3 I was on the board.... most I hit was with cash shots right away at £7 repeat... I didnt take it because it seemed very promising... if it wants to offer me £7 repeat after a few quid then surely after £20 or so it would want to payout a lot more... but nope...
After that board it was a downward spiral. Never got to the main dond type game. Once the cash shots had taken out anything £3 or lower it killed me... on every other board I had...
In fact the total loss was £80... and had nothing paid out of it.
This was lost in no more than 10 mins.
That shows that people who say "these £70jp machines are like playing a £5 jp machine but speeded up" are talking total bullcrap.
It clearly showed 80% payout but out of £80 never offered anything more than £3...
Thankfully William Hill paid back a bit of damage limitation on their Blackjack games where I won 340... but still.. all this time away from £70jp machines and even now with these so called higher payout %'s... they still all play like crap

Honestly man...thats why i dont touch the machines in pubs these days..ive had a couple of quid here n there but no more than a fiver.
A..9 out 10 pubs have at least one DOND possibly 2..i seen one with 3 different versions of DOND once..thats a fkin windup is it not.
B..There is absolutley no gameplay in machines these days.
Was out for a meal with the family and watched some poor sod stick tenner after tenner in the note acceptor in a DOND once..think the highest 'win' he was offered was about £15.
Must have lost at least a ton..walks away and some guy and his mate come over..(dunno if they was sharking or not) stick about a fiver in and win the JP.
Nahhh...not for me thanks..ill stick to the emulations and the 5p and 10p machines when i go to the coast for a run in the car.

Please note thats 80% over every £1000.
Every machine will run to its % even if its not full.
There made that way now so theres no way to cheat you out of your cash.
Im hearing most £70s need a good £20 in to get anywere unless you know a manipulation.
Best wishes

based that that though "getting anywhere" surely should of happened after £80 was put into it... but it was still offering £3 max n then killed me,
its not that its rigged or whatnot its further proof that these £70jp machines are no good...
deffo agree with todd...
This 1 pub still has a 10p/£5jp machine... its worn a bit but its amazing... 3 times I have been on it... played for hours each time and ended up a few quid up or at worst £1 down.
thats at least 3 hours playtime altogether... however if you go on 3 different £70jp machines, put £100 in each of em... how much playtime will you have before losing the lot? chances are not much
Probably through my stupidity I have put in between £50 and £150 on about 30 occasions on different £70jp machines.. each time I never won anything... and the 1 time I did scrape the £70jp I was still £50 down

In my opinion any awp that was 25p/£25 or before that times was great and gave customers value for money.
Most £35 and £70 jackpots are just money eaters and i fully understand why normal people dont want to play them anymore, the day of the casual player is long gone now.

Wrong the 80% is over the expected life of the machine NOT every £1000 it is ment to keep to an avarage of 80% but will fall below it and will them make it up till its about 80% or will go over the 80% and suck like a chunt. You can see this in the game manager on mfme. Look at the games they can be as low as 50% but will have had 10's of thousands in them.
Also £20 is bollox they can go for a good £30 to £50 to get a feature I know because I have been there. In fact on one crazy messed up day I ended up putting £480 into a £1 a go dond £70 JP without getting a jackpot, I wasn't forcing it just playing it as I normally would. It then gave the MS after £495 so you cant tell me that they keep to there % I even said to the manager I thought there was something wrong with it so they turned it off till the guy came to look at it, I went in and spoke with him and he said its just one of them things someone must have had a massive streak out of it before I went on it. I will never do that again, £20 is the limit now no feature or win I will leave it for some other sucker.

Well from what iv'e worked out and picked up over the years, the % payout is worked and and settled within every 10.000 spins, and will equall itself out over them plays.

I've pretty much given up on the 70s. Whenever I get a board it's £2 or 3 block dead and COB will be bust. Time to appreciate pubs for the beer, food and banter. Only playing £5s now, because 70s are just robbery. That's not saying £5 machines are not robbery, but at least you get some more spins and entertainment. Usually.

totally, I think the reason i was intruiged was because usually these £70jp machines when I last played them ages ago were only 70%, so of course in gambling the extra 10% could well make all the difference....
I was getting them boards where you know the next turn is going to kill you, whatever happens. If you look at £5jp machines you can sometimes have a feeling it will kill you but then wham... it doesnt... however with £70jps when you think its gonna kill you next 99.9% of the time you are right.
I thought maybe the industry had changed regarding £70jp machines but nope...
Even a damm FOBT gave me more of a game that that machine and we all know FOBT's = wont just rob your money, they will also take your empty wallet as well.

Look at some of the machines now, they can go up to 94% on a super spin which costs £2 btw but still u would think 94% would give you something in return

Umm not fully true, An awp should never drop under or over 2% of its stated %.
How can a machine run to 80% over its life when at a flick of a dip switch we can change this?
Remember every machine is programed to play and pay in different ways, we can also change this if required.
All machines keep to there % to a point.
Ive been in this trade for over 13 years and i run my own company now so i do have an idea on how an awp runs.
Agreed there are days they take money off you but thats more down to the many manipulation that earn cheats the £70 off £2 in.
Please note my reply is not here to offend just give my knowledge and views.

The extra 10% is only being given to the customer as cashboxes are so low from a few years back we need to entice you into putting your money back in.

Aslo another tip DO NOT take percentage decals at face value, some you have played may well have said 70% but trust me they would have been a little higher than that, the norm being 78% in a pub. When your thinking 80% is a great % payout just think to yourself am i on the machine at the begining, middle or end of it's cycle. If your at the begining your in big trouble,as this is the time the machine is at it's tightest.
I've had some horror stories on fruitys and thats playing em in a well known brand of arcades were their default percentage is 88/90% on any stake above 20p play.I have still pumped 100s through the machines whith not a sniff of a jp(some machines only being £25jp aswell).
I would say that out of all the £70 jp machines the player platform machines are the worst by far, they have some of bfg dond's on em and i'll be damned if bellfruit have coded them that way,i've seen people put £65 in a dond the big reds to gt just a board only to have two spins take the active dond game and end up with £4 i wouldn't touch em with a barge pole.Greed, greed and more greed springs to mind when i here about these machines.
I would say the only fair game iv'e played which was £70 jp was a mab/concept upgrade of a magic 7,made into a machine called random reel magic, has the same light a pair for a guaranteed win and same with the nudges, except you don't get the 3 roll ins like the electrocoin software.Like i said it's the fairest game i've played and with you getting £10 for x's,£30 for bars and £70 for the 7's,it doesn't take long to have £400 coins in the payout tray when it goes on one yeah it also takes your money if you've landed on it at the wrong time, but it doesn't take 80-£100 without a sniffing of a tenner like the electrocoin machines.
My advice would be stick to games you know and the £5 jackies, all machines are there to take your money, but in a pub more so with there pathetic 72-78% payout and 80 if your lucky.Another tyhing i've come across whilst being in pubs and thats the bar staff watching the machine like an hawk with a dying dog, some even trying to count the coins and notes going in the machine so they know when to go on their breack and get on the machine .

One thing we do agree on is how Awps have changed so much that new machines are not as much fun.
I still get asked to supply £5 awps as customers want fun, not to loose all there cash in 2 mins.

All that's left now is to screw up the SWP's, by putting up questions that doesn't contain the right answer.
