Aslo another tip DO NOT take percentage decals at face value, some you have played may well have said 70% but trust me they would have been a little higher than that, the norm being 78% in a pub. When your thinking 80% is a great % payout just think to yourself am i on the machine at the begining, middle or end of it's cycle. If your at the begining your in big trouble,as this is the time the machine is at it's tightest.

I've had some horror stories on fruitys and thats playing em in a well known brand of arcades were their default percentage is 88/90% on any stake above 20p play.I have still pumped 100s through the machines whith not a sniff of a jp(some machines only being £25jp aswell).

I would say that out of all the £70 jp machines the player platform machines are the worst by far, they have some of bfg dond's on em and i'll be damned if bellfruit have coded them that way,i've seen people put £65 in a dond the big reds to gt just a board only to have two spins take the active dond game and end up with £4 :skeptical: i wouldn't touch em with a barge pole.Greed, greed and more greed springs to mind when i here about these machines.

I would say the only fair game iv'e played which was £70 jp was a mab/concept upgrade of a magic 7,made into a machine called random reel magic, has the same light a pair for a guaranteed win and same with the nudges, except you don't get the 3 roll ins like the electrocoin software.Like i said it's the fairest game i've played and with you getting £10 for x's,£30 for bars and £70 for the 7's,it doesn't take long to have £400 coins in the payout tray when it goes on one  yeah it also takes your money if you've landed on it at the wrong time, but it doesn't take 80-£100 without a sniffing of a tenner like the electrocoin machines.

My advice would be stick to games you know and the £5 jackies, all machines are there to take your money, but in a pub more so with there pathetic 72-78% payout and 80 if your lucky.Another tyhing i've come across whilst being in pubs and thats the bar staff watching the machine like an hawk with a dying dog, some even trying to count the coins and notes going in the machine so they know when to go on their breack and get on the machine :daydreaming: .

It clearly showed 80% payout but out of £80 never offered anything more than £3...

Apart from the £7 it offered first board.

Well from what iv'e worked out and picked up over the years, the % payout is worked and and settled within every 10.000 spins, and will equall itself out over them plays.

Correct - to an extent,
BACTA used to give out a pc software package to every manu' called the BACTA Compliance Test Program, this would hook up to the machine's serial port and log all games/payouts etc and generate lots of stat's (ie longest losing streak, highest winning periods bla bla)
a log for EVERY different machine had to be submitted to bacta for their records and it was based over 10000 games for an AWP. and to machine should of reached it's % (as an average over the 10000 games)

BUT the OLD gambling act did state "over the life of the machine" - and so does the new one IIRC

BUT the stakes were lower then, so by today's standards the 'cycle' will be much larger - hence why at least one AWP model per year has to be submitted to 3rd party Gaming Laboratories like http://www.gaminglabs.com/ (EVERY machine with a higher jackpot HAS to go through the labs)

Umm not fully true, An awp should never drop under or over 2% of its stated %.
.
.
All machines keep to there % to a point.

Mmm both point's could be argued but it not worth it,

The main problem today is.....
When I 1st started the programmers were not afraid to let the machine go over % a little, then take it back,
But now for example a ****** machine will NEVER, NEVER go ABOVE it set %, it will always be under, and only be 'on' % after it's dump period. (baring software faults of course)

And the reason for this is the estate managers and landlords who are wanting and expecting a 'regular' income EVERY week
Blame the bean counters.

BUT if it were your income what would you want as a landlord? a regular income of £200 ever week or the other model where one week you might get £900 but the next you might only get £50? (I know which one I'd plump for)

I know of at least one machine at the mo' that works like the above and it's doing very well with the independent's and they love it, but the breweries don't like the cashbox volatility and (probably) won't take it.

BTW if any manu's are reading this, (you should know who I am) - any jobs going???
