I can get £5 photos of this if you want mate if the roms will work on that jackpot Mr P's has it and he says its one of the best machines he has played on that jackpot

It might be worth it as there is two win values that due to the depth of the volcano cannot be seen on the flyer. its 1 60p and 2 £1 i think as the next one up is £1.60 or it could be £1.00 then £1.40 but cant see so am unsure till i get the roms.

Also going to be a challenge due to the fact you have to edit it in 2 and try it in 3.2

Money Mummy Money does indeed run.

Blues Boys WILL NOT WORK, as its a 128k rom.

But it will run whehn PJ Amber gets released.

This looks interesting. Tried the test layout and it does work, but it still pays out far too much. I think the CHR controls the percentage as well. Have you figured out how to get the percentage working correctly as well, mate?

Last question. The method you've used to bypass the CHR. Can the same method be used so the video machines can run as well?

I don't think it bypasses the chr but he is able to put the correct chr numbers in the chr editor in mfme 2.0 I think that's what he is doing but don't quote me on it

It's an unfinished classic showing BWB Fire and Ice running - this was originally something deemed to be unemulatable in the current versions of MFME due to needing the CHR part looking at - Guitar is saying he has worked out how to set the CHR and the file attached is an example - this would mean many BWBs could now be emulated which previously couldn't.

I know how to make the percentage work right in project amber / fmef. As I only cracked this yesterday Im still working on it. I automated the CHR Protection (but not the percentage) in mine and just happened to notice a pattern in the super league CHR file. Once I worked it out it was easy to change. I just need to work out at what stage MFME feeds in the values for the percentage and type the numbers in the boxes.

It might take a while but I can say with 100% confidence that it can be fixed with the tools we have.

If you can get the percentage working correctly mate, I can safely say that you've finally got BWB nailed! :) Have you had a look at some of the BWB video machines? If the video machines use the same CHR pattern there maybe a slight chance of getting them working as well I would imagine. Monte Carlo Or Bust, Reno Reels, Miami Dice etc. Now that would be something to look forward to. We've got loads of roms for MCOB if you want to have a look.

All in good time, MPU4 video is planned for Project Amber, as is Blues Boys etc as it wont run 128k BWB's in MFME afaik.

Lets not get rid of all the reasons for Project Amber. Speaking of which, I'm hoping to get hold of some decent resources for Pyramid and Labyrinth soon ;)

Try this instead, then you wont have to manually put the rom in.

I'm not saying you should stop deveopment on Amber, mate. On the contary. I just thought with MFME already having MPU4 video in it, there might have been a possibility of the video machines working now you've found out a way of sorting out the CHR.

I think all the BWB roms that give CHR errors on MFME can be done. You just need Chris (Wizard) to setup the layout for you. Since the emu leaks he's been a bit reluctant to help out on layouts, which is understandable I suppose.

Good luck with the Electrcoin emulation. I've never played any of their hi-tech machines, so it will be good to see them in action. :)

Well done Guitar on your continuing success on this...all those months and years of coding are starting to come together huh ?

As much as i dont understand all the technical stuff CHR's and what not..i understand that its a huge leap forward in the emulation of previously 'not possible' machines.

Some of those machines people have been waiting years and years for may soon have thier wishes granted.

Good luck in the continuing development of this..hope to see some of those machines myself in the near future.

So where do you extract this file to and what are we seeing??
I aint a clue what you are all on about apart from the names of the slots-Pyramid-wow to have that as a playable emulation would be amazing. :notworthy:
