If someone knows any emptier, they will hardly really want to discuss it. Less people that know the better.
This isn't really the forum that these matters will get discussed. I'm not saying that it's bad to talk about them...but it probably hasn't surfaced because a lot of people here are ex-players, or really casual players. The need for empties doesn't really do the trick and they find most of their enjoyment from the nostalgia and playability of their favourite era machines. If people are looking for methods and empties, there are a lot more in depth forums eg Jackpottyforurms that are more suited to this topic.
I think Todd's post sums up most of the members' opinions. They really just aren't interested in it. Not that that's a bad thing, to each their own.

This is a site for EMULATION purposes of older machines. Not playing strategies.
If you are more interested in playing modern machines,
visit Jackpottyforums

(DOND is around now on this site..... How long was this sig out of date...!)

I see where Guitar is coming from and it's not the first time that a fair and equal chance for all has been suggested. A few points that have come into my head. I've just awoken, so hopefully I can be eloquent.

1) Many of these so called cheats/emptiers are deliberate. In other words the manufacturers do know about them as they put them there! These get sold onto certain contacts, who milk if for all it is worth until it gets leaked by error, or those that got if from the manufacturers decide to sell it to a wider circle as the next new trick is out/the relevant rippable machine is getting long in the tooth etc and it's a last ditch cash injection for them.

2) A lot of rippable/emptiable machines are now chipped. Manufacturers DO know, it's just that a few suppliers have been lazy chipping. Some always slip though the net. Most professional players will know the locations of these remaining unchipped machines. When enough people know a rip, it leaves a substatial sum to be put in that from those that don't know the rip. The machine plays bad for them, they complain to the barman/attendent etc, the suppliers get to hear and eventually the manufacturer *has* to release a chip if there is a fault. To the manufcturer, the suppliers/distributors are the key customer.

3) I think the idea behind not talking about emptiers is to keep away the gentlemen in Burberry attire from babbling on and smothering the site with silly cryptic nonsense and bragging. This site is not about extracting financial gain from machines, it's a more holistic understanding and appreciation of AWP facets gone by.

4) £500 B3s are mostly random, but the profiles are so awful, most of the % is paid back in 50p to £5 wins. Recently I have heard/part seen two true stories of >£2,500 in for a shot at pots. Pots of gold is the best machine for suckering in punters. To me they play like a charity box for the bookie/arcade etc

5) Most £70 machines in chain arcades should be 86% - 92%, so whilst be wary of pub machines on 78%, you should get a better game on the former. If you're paying over £20 for a board on something, it is probably being ripped, so be careful. On 25p a play £70 Snake Rattle and Roll you will usually give a board every £5 on average. Chipped Pacman will give boards on average every £4. On £1 a play I find I usually get a board within £5, but you can pay up to £18 for a slow roll in win. Whilst rare, it does happen. People often look back with stupidly rose coloured glasses. I often saw £20+ go into an old BFM called Olympic Gold, just for a board. I paid £26 for a board on an £8 token Crystal Maze once. It's all hourses for courses. Some £70 machines won't pay much more than £100ish on a run. Basically jackpot and some afters. Others can flash for £210 and still play like crazy. See Buddylove video for Perfect Game on Youtube. Find the profile that suits you. Failing that, if you can't afford to lose or losing is too much for you to cope with, then just don't play.

In my opinion cheats are not cheats they are merely using the software in another way, perhaps unintended by the developer, but nevertheless still there. Back in my day the most popular machine by far was Line Up and the owner of one arcade in Cheltenham did not re-chip his machines to £3 jobbies as he realised we foolish punters would pump tens of pounds into the £2 variety in the hope of getting the £2 Feature Hold. If he had turned them into £3 Super Line Ups that didn't do the feature then we wouldn't have played them (as much).

This cheat is different to the emptier on Exchanges Unlimited using the nylon carpet static through the 10p trick, as that wasn't a software bug it was expoliting the fact that the machine nearly always offered a win on the first spin of the day, so we just made every spin the first spin! That was the only true emptier I know of. And I'll tell you now, I was skint the whole time as ultimately other mchines had my profits. There are 2 winners when addicts play machines; the government is one and the arcade owner is the other.

In summary, I see no harm in discussing genuine software glitches as they are part of gameplay and ultimately won't change the overall percentage coming out. Static electicity and strimmer wire is definately not included, nor ripping off the back of machines with screwdrivers :indifferent:

But in addition wouldnt like the fact the forums would be taken over by wee nobs boasting that they can 'do' the latest DOND for X amount of cash.
