hi all fme,
i have been off here for a good while now and never really posted when i was here but .......
i have not played on the fruits for seven years now after a really good competition win at the showboat arcade in coventry and the fact i got barred the same day lol..anyways thats another story..

im in need of some advice ...as i have said after being a machine player for the best part of 15 years before i stopped 7 years ago however while on holiday in weymouth last week i found the joys of *skill ball bingo* thus to say im not sure it was leading me back to my old ways but i really did enjoy playing it .....

so all i wish to know is should i stop just in case or enjoy it for the fun

any help will be truly taken on board
thanks

Welcome back. We had a skill ballbingo thread last year sometime and Bencrest slowed down the machine and proved it is all a complete con, so give up now or face the inevitably that you know is coming.

Well said - you could always download the game and play for free - search for the old thread as I'm sure a link was on it; I couldn't stand it myself, as it was a bag of $&%#, but each one to their own.

There you go then, question answered!

I haven't played for years either...my own fault but machines so very nearly broke me cash wise, to date still done me no favours as i'm paying for it now believe me!

With todays machines (should my original circumstances v's playing have been now) i'd be in the drain, and I swear i'm not bumping that up either.

The days of playing for fun are way gone i'm sorry to say....as One of the 'old school' (at 45!!) my playing days are spent...I go to arcades and Bingo but never touch...once burned mictas_1

ditto there have been numerous threads on this topic and believe me the machines are evil human creations only there to take your money, keep away from them if you can, spend it on something you will enjoy instead of standing in the rain wishing you could turn the day back with that awful feeling in your stomach "sound familiar "????

Actually quite enjoyed playing it on the PC, obviously total con... I was after a couple of numbers and the machine was like totally stalling, 3 or 4 seconds for a number to pop up... I mean these wheren't ever going to be skill based machines they are there to make money while offering 5 mins of entertainment.

I was in a big family entertainment centre a few weeks back and they had loads of these, all occupied... so they must do ok in the arcades.

I imagine that they are pretty addictive once you get involved.

Like most (if not all) SWP machines - Skill Ball Bingo is set at 30% payout

So no SKILL involved at all - if the machine needs to pay it's percentage then it will give you the numbers, if it doesn't need to pay it's percentage it will screw you over. Also I have NEVER seen anyone get a full house on this, it must just pay it's percentage by paying the 1 line, 2 lines & £5 bonus ball.

Sorry guys 30% is just an agreed amount, as is the max prize level. And I know for a fact the SBB pays 47%. And if my reaction time is faster than others then I'm the one who gets the majority of that 47%.....
If you good I will post the tips I sent to mictas_1 for you all to read :jiggy:

Yes, the agreed amount being equal to the percentage payout. Undoubtedly there will be drift, but ultimately, over enough games, there will be a 30% payout.

And I know for a fact the SBB pays 47%

How can you possibly know that, unless you are the programmer / actuary who devised the gameplay - well are you?

And if my reaction time is faster than others then I'm the one who gets the majority of that 47%.....

I admit you will get a higher percentage of the payout if you are more skillful than the other players of the same machine, but the percentage you will be getting a higher share of is 30%, not 47% - see above

If you good I will post the tips I sent to mictas_1 for you all to read

See title of this thread - I don't think it was particularly helpful of you to do that. End of the day this machine pays out £3 for every £10 put in it, which is a f*****g terrible return. No-one should ever play them, they are completely rigged, end of.

I used to play Skill Ball Bingo on the SWP in the pub, where it's £1 for 1 line, £5 for 2, £10 (I think) for full house and if you got all 5 gold stars it would play 20 odd quid but the most I ever won was a fiver. I stopped playing after a while, only played now and then if I wanted to waste a bit of time. It was obvious it was a total con as when you came to having 3 or some numbers left on the card and 10 or so bouncing around, it'd take 5-8 seconds for a ball to actually drop in. A woman told me the 'skill' part was that if you were to wait until a ball was over the hole to accept or deny the current ball it would drop straight in, but I never tried this as surely it would take longer to wait for a ball you need to land there than to just accept or deny as quickly as possible. I've never seen or heard of anyone winning the full house with the star prize. I had a go on one of the stand alone machines for a quid a go, only had one go as I could tell straight away it was a real swizz. I did get the £5 bonus ball a few times, but I only ever got that in social clubs. I've never even seen it on a pub machine.

It pays 47%......No drift except for the slight changes between wins relative to the total play.
I know the guy who programmed this machine among others.

And yep even 47% is a terrible return but unlike a fruit they are not random or at least shouldn't be....

Skillball as it's known now is one of the very few machines that already conforms to the new HMRC guildlines one of which is the removal of the "Bingo" bit.
For this reason all skillball bingo's have been taken from terminal games.
All the other manufacturers will have to follow suit very shortly.

People should play Skill games for enjoyment first and foremost. I am merely pointing out that there is still an edge to be had.

Doesn't matter how fast your reaction times. If it doesn't want you to win, it won't drop the balls in.
And instead of baiting people, why not just post the lot, or keep it shut?

This is a site for EMULATION purposes of older machines. Not playing strategies.

I dont know a lot about fruit machines, I play skill machines. And I happen to have knowledge about this one. You can choose to believe what you like. I only joined this forum yesterday and posted on a topic I know something about.
And yes I am a programmer but didnt program this game, but do know the guy personally.
The guy who started this topic asked me some questions I answered him privately, thats all.
