Hi all,

I have a problem with my Cops and Robbers fruit machine and wondered if any one could help!

The problem is when the machine is full of money and i get a big winner it pays out some of the £1 but then switches to 20p's.

It seams to happen when Hopper 2 and 3 are empty but hopper 1 is full (See attached image), I have checked all the switches on the hopper and they all seam to be working all ok.

Everything is working ok apart from this that I can see.

Is it normal for it to do this or should it empty hopper 1 before it pays out in 20p's?

It paid out £22 in 20p's and that does not seam correct to me!

Also when I change to price per play to 20p the Jackpot is only £150, how can i change this to £200?


Any help would be great!

Yeah i have just found the manual for it!

Can anyone confirm for me

in the manual it refers to the tubes as front, centre and rear, is this looking from the back of the machine or the front! (guessing its the back)


In the manual its says the rear tube should fill first (in my picture hopper1 ?) then centre (in my picture hopper 2?) then front ( hopper 3?)

Its saying that if the rear hopper (hopper 1) low switch is open it will pay from the 20p's so i am guessing the bottom switch on hopper 1 is faulty!?

HI, i had the same problem with public enemy, if your coin mech automatically chooses wat tube to put the pound coins in rather than just dropping in the next tube when the 1 before is full you could empty the pound coins out pull the sensor's up on tubes 1 and 2 then the coins should go in tube 3 and pay out as normal from there then after it has been working ok try putting it back how it was and it might work again!!! it worked for me but may not!!! if not just leave the coins to drop in tube 3 and when its full will be easyer to get the cash straight out of the cash box to carry on punting!!!

You should be able to test those tube level switches in test, (they are called 3cld switches AFAIR)
Either in switch test or coin test,
on older machines in switch test the level sensors might not make a 'beep' but it might light a bulb
Give it a go you got nowt to loose,
And IIRC the white connectors with 3 pins that attach to the switch - used to be a right pain - dirt/grim would build up on the pins so it might be worth disconnecting one at a time and cleaning the pins
Just be careful not to break any of the pins when reconnecting!

Can't really tell from your photo, as it's not in situ,
From my experience when they say 'rear' it is normally the one nearest you if your looking from the back of the machine,
It looks like 1 is the main £ tube and then when full the coins just slide into the 2nd, is that how it works ? cant tell from photo.

ok, the manual refers to the front, center + rear tubes, this is infact looking in to the machine from the rear, the tube furthest away, now your rear, will fill first + so on. the exact fault is fairly easy to diagnose, does the machine kick out any coins at all from tube 1?? eg, does it kick out until the float (coin level) hits the top sensor or does it redirect to pay the remainder in 20'ps before even touching tube 1?? eg directly after emptying tube 2?? but the problem is very easy to fix either way with electrical tape + POWER OFF!!!! unfortunately many ppl mess with the insides, for some unknown reason stripping it all down + re=connecting it wrong!! there is a poss that you actually have the final 1 pound sensor on tube 1 at the top + not the bottom?? so if it pays out 1 pound coins + stops at the top sensor then this is obviously the fault so just reverse them back, simple :-) if the machine refufes to payout whatsoever from tube 1 then the final sensor is correctly fitted but defective again simple repair :-) let me know if this is the case i will ba back soon but must dash out, always happy 2 help!! :-)

Now i know that correct i know for a fact the bottom switch is broken, it was broken when we got the machine and i just had a quick look at it!

When i am with the machine next i well strip out the switch and fully test it!

Anyone know how to change the jackpots then?

there is a switch on the back of the coin mec which have 3 settings on 5p/£75 10p/£100 and 20p/£150

Does anyone know if there is more settings on the main DLL bank?

Really want it 5p/£75 10p/£100 and 20p/£200
