Do the ROMs work for this one? I think it was a failed test machine, similar to Pick of the Pack. It might be a bit new, but can someone give them a try when they turn up?
I saw one switched off in an arcade the other day, so I grabbed myself some pics. Theres 2 of them, a bit of camera flash on one of the features but OK other than that. I'll upload them later and if the ROMs work, it'll be some good layout resources

Played it before, not a too bad machine, its got like a weird sort of tubing of LEDs on the middle board, never reached it so Im not too sure what it was for, nor do I think it will work well on the EMU.

Gives dreaded "pay unit error" no matter what settings, so looks a non runner, but i will keep trying.

Is it just Pay unit? Or is it also security error 4.1? That's what I didn't want to happen. If it's just pay unit error but a door open layout can be done, I'll put the pics up seeing as any layout is better than no layout*

"Pay unit error " but it doesn't move, even when both doors are open, it still reads "pay unit error" regardless, i
also tried more roms( from the repro) and they do the same, so looks like it won't run mate.

That's weird... You would have thought you could get past Pay unit error some way. Even if it did give you security error 4.1, at least it's not pay unit error.
Silly question, but have you tried it on both emulators? as it can be picky sometimes.

Not a silly question at all c.b, but the answer is no they won't budge, in fact if tried in mfme 9.4 some roms just crash the emu. so def a no go by the looks of things.roms attached if someone wants to try. That's weird... All the Cool Jewels roms we have had the 'RRO SYSTEM UPDATE' applied to them, so they will not work on the emu. You'd thing this would work on the emulator, considering how old it is compared to the newest BFM machine emulated (Goldenballs), but BFM decided to add the extra security to it.

IM sorry if im miles away from the flow of conversation but i take it from what ive read that theres some sort of security feature with new roms that stop them being emulated . do we need a new version of mfme maybe version 11 that by-passes the security ,if not ill never win a £75 jackpot

Cheers Ploggy. That's a shame, BUT...I had a look at the machines under on that list and they're all emulated ones...so chances are there will be a non RRO set somewhere...?
Thanks to HTS and everyone else who helped in running the ROMs and trying them out!
Anyway, I've got the pics, so I'll upload them now so anyone can take a look at em and use them
Also I remember seeing that name HOT WAD before. Forgotten what it looks like. Can anyone provide a pic or game description to rattle my brain again please
thanks lol
EDIT: Pics added, there's 3 there. Whole machine clear with a bit of flash and bot great angle, machine full, no flash but blurry a bit, and bottom part of machine, reels etc good quality

Most of the machines in the list I attached do work, except for the C&R machine. We were just lucky with the other ones in the list because we've got roms that haven't had the security added. Take 'I'm A Celebrity' as an example. We've got eight sets of roms for it, but only one works on the emulator because it hasn't had the security added to it. A machine as new as 'Bullseye' could possibly work on the emulator, if a set could be found that doesn't have the security. Which is very unlikely to be honest.

does this mean we need a new emulator to get past the security or id that it we wont be able to play them:wideeyed:
