I've got some online banking to do. I've been away for a few days though and Dad said there was a trojan on the PC but he dealt with it. Anyway since I've been away, a program called Rapport which is like a blocker of sorts has appeared on my browser window. So the crunch question is:

Is this legitimate software, or would it be the trojan at work?

I would be grateful for any information, because I do need to get this banking done sometime soon, but I don't really want to if there's ANY uncertainty I have with any programs
Thanks all

Yeah as HTS says..seems pretty 'legit' to me as well...its one ive never heard of though.

Just to be doubly sure before you start any online banking activities let this program check your system http://www.simplysup.com/ fully functional 30 day trial..will not only check your system but also BHO's..Add ons etc.

Online banking is 'usually' pretty safe as thier servers are more than secure probably behind the best Cisco firewalls money can buy.

Just make sure you have a decent up to date AV program (id recommend Microsoft Security Essentials) and a decent firewall Windows firewall is ok-ish but generally creates rules and allows programs to access the internet without your knowledge..if you want a decent free firewall that will ask each time a program requires internet access permissions..Zone Alarm and Fortknox Personal Firewall are pretty good.

Hope this helps. :)
Mmmmmm...Sandy ive 'ad her ye know. :)

It's fine. First Direct use it although it can be a bit annoying.

Natwest use it as well - as long as it's the correct version then it's ok.

NatWest gives this out for free, and it's deffo legit.

However, it's pretty crap, and has f***ed over one of my comps before, so be careful with it.

TBH, long as your own security software is up to speed, you will be OK enough with just that, and you can forget using Rapport.
