Sorry nails I have to disagree and stick with my original comment, T7 hard drives fail / corrupt fairly frequently I have had to replace 3 in the last 6 weeks alone which is on ave 1 in 14 days.( we don't re image we get advance replacements )  Admittedly this is based on a large number of T7 in use but is higher than you would want to risk as a personal "at home" machine due to you cant just ring SG up for an advance replacement anytime you want / need.

Also remember that the executive also updates the MPU6 as well.

And now since I wrote this I now agree with you again on your next comment   lol   Damn you !!!  ;)

In what way does the MPU6 get updated by the executive?

I'm not going to mess around with the exec on my t777, I'm more than happy with what I've got.
I spoke to Wessex were I purchased the machine and they said I wouldn't have any problems when installing games from the back menu as they were put on there by Wessex.

Stayed up until 1am playing my t777. Played Rainbow Riches POG non stop for 5 hours.
Put around £800 of demo credits through for a return of £270 :D
I'm totally addicted to my awesome t777, I've snapped my corals connect card up into pieces lol :)

the PC and the MPU6 are totally different units. The PC runs windows and the software needed to load and run the program. this works in tandem with the MPU6. what this does is takes care of the acceptors/slots and I/O. just like a real barcrest fruit machine but the PC take care of the screens whereas the MPU would have taken care of the reels.

updates generally speaking are security updates or patches to the existing code. one such update for the PC allowed the stacking of notes to be split between stake notes and stake excess notes (excess to your original float if you had a note recycler and you had say a £500 float to start you off). MPU updates could be acceptor firmware updates or tighter security on all peripherals  attached.

hope that helps

Hi Andrew, what is required to build a rig like this.

Barcrest PC, Mpu5/6 etc, do you need coin hardware etc or can you bypass this?

CD_Cashino_0.5_Build_63  FOUND!!!

Hiya

well my rig is a mk5 pc, with 2 screens that  go  to resolution 1280 x 1080 (i think, cannot exactly remember the resolution off the top of my head) I don't yet have a touchscreen for the main monitor so have to use a ps2 mouse, only trouble is you have to guess where on the screen it is as the cursor is in 'hidden' mode in the software.

you then need to plug he usb into a mpu5 program card, and of course a mpu5 with power cable and psu, also the mpu5 needs a sec meter connected and you do need a button loom for the door switches as without that it will go straight into door closed mode! coin mech is optional, you don't need that to boot, also not needed to boot is a mpu5 mux lamp board, but to run in realplay you need it as it has the start button connected to it!

Its just a case of slowly building it up bit by bit untill you get it fully functional! I don't have any hopper connected or top box mpu5 mux board either.

hope this helps

Andrew

Hi Andrew
Rainbow Riches7 (version with pie gamble feature) would probably be hard to get hold of.
As FruitBash has said Rainbow Riches7 will only run on a t777 and not a Rio, installing the game on a Rio the same as any other t777 game could corrupt your Rio HDD.
