I used to enjoy playing fruit machines..£30 could last you hours but their was a point of no return & it was unlikely that you could recover that £30 loss..

In the last 6 years gambling stakes have increased & the skill level & entertainment value has decreased & its an alarming trend for the new generation.

Eg a £70 jackpot machine will average at least £4 to get a feature which can offer a minimum £1 win & just look at the popularity of those b3 machines ..

you can spin £10 every 4 seconds on some machines & as much as 100 per spin on the internet, ive also seen a deal or no deal game with a £1000 bet stake on sky vegas. My salary has not increased much in 6 years yet its common to witness people losing £100s per day with no chance of recovery.

Gambling is a form of entertainment but how did the researchers come up with these crazy betting stakes & succesfully minimize gamblers intelligence? when did the new generation have infinite funds?

what is skillful & entertaining about waiting for a random win on the majority of games being released?

B3s are about addicts *trying* to win money, nothing more and nothing less.
Although I agree as prizes go up, entertainment goes down.

You can still use skill on the £70 machines there are alot of hints and tips people know that help the player but for the person who spends the odd £10 every now and again its just not worth it anymore and the fun side has gone big time but we all have been saying this for close to 10 years

skill is complete bollocks,i played a machine the other day called lets play deal or no deal,i put a £20 note in and for s start off the cheaky bastard transfered £5 of my £20 straight into credit :skeptical: then once on the feature i got skill continue, which was a piece of piss to hit,hit it bang lands on U so game over.I thought i must be rusty then the next couple of boards did the exact same,so as far as i'm concerned it was a bouncing thieving cheaky robbing git lolol so i took my remaining £10 and come off and had another pint.

sorry, i missred the title as `what happened to skill ball bingo` (or at least i thought thats what it said at a quick glimps)

so called `skill ball bingo` dissapear are, quite litteraly it was not skill at all, therefore was changed category.

if you want to keep it fun, i suggest you seek out 10p and 25p play machines, for me thats like paint drying. i dont mean to sound arrogunt, but i dont play to have fun and lose. i play to have fun and win money. a few hundread to me is winning money, where as a jackpot £5 repeater to me is an insult.

£4 av ???
you must have way better luck than me then, I ploughed £60 through a monopoly (on juice machine) without a single win! £10 more in and it gave 1 £1 win with exchange to board - 1st spin on board DEAD
= £72.90 for one pint !!

That's way I don't play anything any more unless I know that I have an advantage over joe blogs - if ya know what I mean ;-)
