Hi Guys,

Could someone please help me with a problem i have with my NV7 Note changer, i had to change the battery on my MPU5 board for my barcrest rio grande machine, everything works perfect but my note acceptor no longer seems to power up at all? i used to hear it startup when i first switched on machine but now nothing and no lights on either?
Do i need to set this up because i have removed the battery? if so could someone please advise me on what to do please.

Thank you for your time.

I've only done this once on a BFM machine so getting to the area where you input the BNV Key will be different to mine. I found it by entering test and using the buttons on the front to find the notey menu. Things might be abit different on yours.

The BNV key may be on a sticker on the NV7 but I just followed the instructions from the manual to reset it to defaults (123456)

You need to reset the encryption key on the NV7, the info is lost on battery change.

1. Power off NV7.

2. Set all 4 DIPswitches to the Up position.

3. Apply power (no CCTalk comms).

4. Red LED will now be flashing.

5. Set DIPswitches 1 and 2 down.

Now you need to enter test mode and find the section that requests the BNV Key on the alpha display. This will now be 1,2,3,4,5,6 (default) once entered the alpha showed. 'accepted' 'stored' the machine rebooted and the notey worked.

Have a go and hopefully someone else will be able to add to this as it's a different MPU and there may be a different way of doing things.

Hi launton

Thank you so much for the reply! The reset information will be a big big help! i will do that as soon as i get home from work today, can i just say that when i tried to figure this out this morning, i entered test mode, it was saying thing like coin test, lamp test etc, but i didnt see BNV??? the only one i seen that i didnt realise was saying DATA something? when i pressed the start button the display just said failed? this might have nothing to do with anything though! lol

Or maybe it wont ask for BNV until i reset???

Big thanks again for the help

Pedro I see you've posted on the mecca as well :) I'm unable to help further as I've never had an MPU5 with an accepter connected. You should get sorted one way or the other.
