Wonder how long on average it does take people to make them. My Black Hole classic, which some noobies probably think looks like a kids drawing with wax crayons, actually took about 40 hours from start to finish. I suspect DX's where a classic is available would be less but depends on the artwork and competency of the designer.

To do a hi-tec classic from absolute scratch - finding the reel positions and creating bands, finding the lamps and organising them, developing a colour scheme, putting everything into a neat order and followed by playtesting. It's at least a solid 24 hours of work. I love it though - it's like solving a logic problem.

It does deffo depend on the machine and how your feeling when doing a dx,I've done some dx's in a couple of hours, but they are rushed and some don't look so good. However my new motto is to just spend an hour or two every so often to put one together,it takes alot longer but the dx looks alot better.Theres no doubt about it that classic creators get the headaches when trying to find lamps especially when theres no test mode to find em.My current updated dx i've been working on is just finished,it had the lamps already found but i've had to make the reel bands and a little rearanging,so this all adds to the time it takes to complete.
