Hi,

I've recently (well a month or so ago!) picked up a Fruit Cracker 2p machine off of eBay which appears was converted from a Stop the Clock machine. I bought it primarily for the cabinet itself as it's the same cabinet that my Deal 'Em uses (which was also converted from a Stop The Clock originally!) and the Deal 'Em cabinet is pretty much falling to bits around the edges (although the machine works fine) I bought it as not working, but I thought it'd be nice to try and get it going before stripping it for my Deal 'Em.

I've managed to get it into the house (sat in the back of my car for ages!), and i've got the rear door off. According to the previous owner he tried another MPU4 mod4 in it (which he gave me when I bought it). When you turn the machine on, the light on the MPU4 lights up but the machine does nothing else. I noticed a blown fuse in the psu which appears supplies the payout solonoids and triacs, I replaced the fuse but the payouts go mad when plugged in so i've left them disconnected for now. I've tried the PSU from my Deal 'Em, another couple of MPU4's i've got, i've reseated the Fruit Cracker roms in the Stop the Clock cartridge, tried some other old programme cartridges, tried another working alphanumeric display, all to no avail. :(

I did wiggle the programme cartridge in the socket and only once did it click something and move the centre reel a fraction. Oh, and at one point it started flashing some of the lamps in a sequence but then stopped (that's before I wiggled the cartridge though).

Seems dead aprt from the light on on the MPU4! :(
Anyone know where I should look first?

Edit: I was also thinking that if I get it working, i'm not sure if it's emulated so maybe I could get some pics of it and rom dumps for emulation etc. if required.

Many thanks,
Tony
