Hi Guys,
This is a picture of an AP4511GM taken next to a 5 pence piece to give you an appreciation of its size. It is 8 pin N and P channel power mosfet, but that will mean nothing to you if you’re not involved in electronics. However, I’m hoping someone might have one on a scrap PCB that they have held on to because it might come in handy.
It has been used extensively in electronic boards and I require one to repair a monitor.
They only cost a couple of quid, but the only UK supplier I could find had a minimum order charge of £150. There is an American supplier on Ebay, but I’ve never used Ebay for buying anything and don’t know if I want to start.
So if you have any scrap boards lying around, and you have very good eyesight, could you please have a look.

Thank You.

For this, you are best off asking over at the mecca

http://www.fruitemu.co.uk/ib/

Another place you can poss try, is this IC Spares place in Taiwan I used a few months back, which specialises in small quantity orders, but may take 2 / 3 weeks for the part to come

http://utsource.net/

As for e-bay, you are probs best to use them, if the mecca lads can not help

Can get 2 of these from this one seller in the states for under a fiver delivered

Thanks Stanmarsh14 and Weasleboy39 for your suggestions and taking the time to find some links for me to browse.
However, it was only after I had done an exhaustive troll through electronic component providers via the internet that I posted my plea on here. I was involved in electronic servicing for 30 years and I'm aware of the major suppliers of components as well as a few who are of the beaten track.
I've made the owner of the monitor (a very good and helpful friend) aware of my difficulty in obtaining the part and informed him of the seller on Ebay. Balls now in his court, as they say.

Thanks again guys.
