Just wondering if the flight leaves from say Gatwick or Heathrow or similar..its not a non-stop flight surely.
I would imagine the plane has to land at New York for refuelling because Vegas is near enough on the West coast and East coast to West coast is about 8 hours ?
And London to New York is about the same..a 16 hour non stop flight ? i wouldnt have though this was possible.

You can fly direct from London, but it's £££'s cheaper to have one or two stops.

I went Vegas in 2005, it's roughly 12 hours and we flew direct from Manchester.
Surprisingly it's not that bad once you've watched a few movies and had a nap and some snapping.

36 hours by coach to Benidorm, or 15 hours in a car...2h by plane (except my last One that was 4h)....
TWELVE+ Gulp!!!..i'd be skint if it was Peasyjet with a beer @ £2.70 for a 330ml tin << purely for medicinal reasons of course!

Have flown to LA and San Francisco twice, both times taking about approx 11 hours out, with the return taking 10.5 - it must be the curvature of the earth which makes it closer than Las Vegas - weird though

Flights do not take the direct route, ie as the crow flies, so to and from destinations can differ in distance as well as time differences.

Yeah If I remember correctly 1 way was just a tad over 12 hours but the other way was 10 & half.
It feels pretty mad though with the time difference too, 1 way you lose a whole day & the other you land not long after you've taken off it real time.
Easily my most interesting/enjoyable holiday I've had (Helped not taking the kids ) Although getting married there would make anyones trip enjoyable. Hoping to go back for our 10 year anniversary and do the west cost too.
