Everybody equal...... No rivallries..... World Cup 2006 starts for England, Northern Ireland and Wales on 4th September 2004 and Scotland kicks off on the 8th. Only the qualifiers of course but officially and technically the tournament is already underway.

Sept 4th..

Austria V England
Northern Ireland V Poland
Azerbaijan V Wales

Sept 8th..

Scotland V Slovenia

It doesn't look all that bad for the teams. I expect AND demand to see ALL the home nations qualify for the tournament proper. One problem that does exists is no matter which way we look at group 6, with England, N Ireland and Wales in the same group and only 2 qualifying teams per group, someone isn't gonna make the qualifications.

With England out of Euro 2004, it's time to redirect our hopes and expectations to Germany 2006.

Whats your predictions? Who will qualify? Which teams in the groups are potential tough opposition?

A fair few months away likes but they do play twice. I'm already looking forwards to these and the rest of the home nations matches for qualification.

What A Joke Euro 2004 was! Urs Meier needs to be hung, drawn and quartered! Only now 3 days later can i bring myself to believe that once again we played horrible negative football when we were leading 1-0...we shouldn't have stayed back and let them attack we knew again exactly what would happen and as for penalty shoot-outs i knew we were out as soon as we lost the toss!!

Who'd have thought eh. Well done those Greek fellas. Seeing Ronaldo blubbing like a sissy has earn't the Greek my total respect.

Theres now no reason why any team cannot do the business in any tournament.

Seeing all that blue and white, the ribbons on the trophy, the paper shower, the crowd in their colours, Could have been Scotland. Lets hope next time one of the home nations can do the trick. As much as we've all slated each others sides over the weeks, It really would be fantastic to see a UK team come away with the trophy.
