Does this mean if we get to, and win the final.you'll streak.........
8O
We'll see about that. I have some spare time tomorrow to create an animation avatar. Thats how confident I am England could go all the way. Still, it will only play if England get to the final

Oh well. We won't be seeing it then - that's a shame. I don't think you lot should take Croatia lightly.

Croatia are one of the better teams. Saying that, all the teams have earn't their place in the tournament due to being good enough. Statistically speaking, and without making digs here, Croatia are pretty close to Scotland in the FIFA rankings. It is a game where England have to be disiplined throughout. If they approach the game like they did the Swiss one, it could be a scrappy affair that could deny England the point they need. Lets hope they click on the night.
Something else thats been puzzling me about group B. The French are sat on top on 4 points. They play the Swiss on Monday too. I have a sneaky feeling that France may draw or even lose the match giving England top spot. Looking over all of France's goals, they haven't had any real gameply inspired goals. Against England, a free kick that we handed to them. 2nd, a penalty that again, we handed them. Both goals were not as a result of great gameplay. Again, against Croatia. A Zidane free kick given by fault of the opposition. Then a clumsy back pass by the opposition. Statistically wise, if the opposition teams had not made the errors, France would have zero goals in the championships and would be bottom of the table, possibly already out of the tournament.
Not a defence of England here but more of an examination of France. They haven't won anything. They have simply been fortunate to be playing sides who make mistakes, and being able to capitalise from those mistakes.

Check this out. Been checking the scrapbook and found this pic from the recent 'Superhero 2004' tournament earlier this year. See my old mate the Phantom giving the Daredevil some grief....
Phantom United ended up losing 134 - 0 due to Daredevil FC having the Invisible Man as their centre forward.
i was gonna use it as an avatar but I'm happy with the one I have for now.

Once again, all the goals scored by our opponents were from our mistakes. How many free kicks followed by goals do we give the opposition?
If we tighten up at the back, we could go on and win this thing. A pretty good match. Easily England's best. They always seem to pull their socks up when coming from behind. (No innuendos please lol).
England are a good team but play an average game believing the result is already in the bag.
Roll on Thursday. Quarter Finals

When English people start to criticising Wales & Scotland & Northern Ireland, just remember the populations:
England: 50,000,000+
Scotland: 5,000,000
Wales: 3,000,000
N.Ireland: 1,600,000
English aren't better footballers at all, you just have such a hugh selection of players, by the law of average you'll always have a better team.
England should be 10 times better than scotland, 16 times better than Wales and 31 times better than Northern Ireland. Northern Ireland went over 1000 minutes without scoring, but remember we did get a 0-0 draw against Spain (Who are one of the favorites). I don't think England could manage that with 1/31 of your team. Also we produced one of the greatest footballers of all time 'George Best'. Now when England produce 31 footballers with the equivalent talent that George Best had, then we can call it evens.
With a 50,000,000+ population, Englands overall standard of football is so low it's laughable.
And just how many countries have a bigger population than us...most, yet we were still one of the best football nations around. We dont complain about that we just go out and beat em!

I'm speaking about UK here. Of course there are other counties with higher population who you are better than, but they dont have the same interest in football as UK.
You have to be so damn ignorant not to believe the population theory. If other countries had the same interest and enthusiasm as England then they'd be far better. Unless of course there is something magic in England that makes the average human smarter then the rest of the world. (Which I think some English people actually believe)
So how was Englands performance in the Baseball Word Cup????????? Oh, thats right, baseball is 'shit' and who gives a 'f**k' about it, isn't that your answer for when theres something you're not good at? Yous dont like baseball and they dont like football, or should I say 'soccer'. Which is the only reason you're better than them. What about the other sports that England are shit at? Is it because those sports are 'shit' anyway?, or is it becasue England are not good enough to compete?

why not just drop this petty "my country is better than your country" shite? its getting us nowhere.
we english people are always going to say that england is better and the same goes for others and their country, so why not just enjoy the tournament for what it is and just get on with talking about bloody fruit machines.
for f***s sake, thats why we are all here.....right?

Absolutely gutted, we are so crap at penalties

In the trashcan I'm affraid. This one here will demonstrate my state of mind at the moment.
A Classic England game though. Score early on, doss about for 70 minutes with the old long ball every now and then. Defend like hell, playing too far back defending, eventually opposition goal comes.
Well, we all know what was wrong about the team but I cannot slate their 'going down fighting' stance. A dissallowed goal with minutes left to play, I'd have been so dejected I'd have lost the will there and then. They played with spirit to keep the game a thriller to the end of 90 plus 30.
I personally hate penalty shootouts. I say this though. England losing the match in normal play, I'd be gutted but losing on penalties, I tend to feel a little easier for that. Personally, I'd rather see the match decided on a toss-up. Saying that though, the ref would have won that being the professional w*nker he was. I'm honestly feeling like the games result was pre-determined from the start. Seeing the hosting nation out at this stage isn't good for the game I guess.
If one good thing comes out of this match, that would be Portugal winning the tournament. Then at least in my heart I will know that on this very night, we did beat the champions. Beat them fairly and squarely but disgracefully had the goal dissallowed.
This avatar will run till after the final.

On that basis the usa should be 5 times better than england and china should be 120 times better.
Your theory sucks, and so do your football team.
