What the deal with this? Though all layouts were gonna be either 1280 or 1024...... I know 1600 does look good and all that but this is rediculus. My monitor only goes to 1280.....
Someone explain this to me, plz

It's purely the creators pref........And that they have a blinding PC....
Let's face it it gives a good choice......If you have hi spec you wouldn't want to run 1024's all the time and loose quality with the size....So it works both ways really.

all the layouts RB made as 1600 have decent 1024 and 1280 alternatives so it really doesn't matter what res he released them in. i think RB just made them so he could keep his interest in design alive (i think thats what i read somewhere).
also he said he was going to release 1280 versions at a later date

That's true, but it's a bit more expensive as a laptop user! Having said that, it was great to see a recent release that had a second option for the buttons in the top right corner! Cheers again to Mike for that one...

Yeah, that's true - just that I like to hide the fact that I'm playing in the office and attaching a secondary monitor would be kinda obvious - guess I'm just being picky now...

That is true. I have my 46" rear projection TV connected to mine.
A right bastard to get on the bus in the mornings though.

You can buy those little 9volt aerials that look like the base of an Airfix model now.......does this help? :-?

Well tbh FME (when I was up to my neck in it) was the cheapest hobby Id ever had.
In 2 and 3/4 years I spent $150 for a 10' phillips monitor and $500 for a totally new pc (that tbh wasnt for fme but did make it better)
So thats $650 for nearly 3 years of enjoyment.
In that time I have probably spent about $2000 on computer games that I havent even really played, so its pretty hard to beat for value for money.
