One thing could be that there are files missing if it's via P2P....And then it's installing itself in different files rather that overwriting hence the loss of space.......To get the space back search for the files, delete and remove any back-ups your system has created, as simple as that..Or if you have an icon already just right click and find target.

First of all go to add/remove programs in the control panel, and see if its listed, and try to uninstall from there, Then try deleting the contents of the c:windowstemp folder, or c:temp, or both, depends on your operating system.
Also delete the directory the game was being installed in.

How much HDD space have you lost? What is the game? It is doubtful that there is an entry in the add/remove if the install failed. Also at what point did it fail???

If you have XP then a system restore could do it.....

You need to give us a more details.... 8)

True MaxPower it will............but you won't get the harddrive space back as it'll be shadowed in order to create another restore point and use up more space (granted compressed). This is just using system restore as a blanket, you won't actually cure the fault...you must manually remove it.

It will install the first 2 disks and when its near the end on disk 3 it says there is a problem and has to close i would take a screen shot but i dont want to lose any more hard drive space ive only got a 30GB drive

Did you get that over Bittorrent?

Did the files download correctly according to the software? If you used KaZaA it'll basically tell you it downloaded fine, but on say Bittorrent it should never download a corrupted file.

DONT use Nero to burn games downloaded, may I recommend Alcohol 120%?

I take it you mean that each time you install, it loses more HDD space? Thats a bit mad, I would assume it would merely overwrite what is already there.

Is it an 'official' installer prog, or like a Winzip Self Extractor file?

Do you want me to send you my copy of the 8 in 1 plus English Reg Fix via MSN? [joke, I haven't THAT much bandwidth to spare!]

Oh, good point - make sure it has the reg fix. You will know if it doesn't, as the game will be in japanese :D

Oh, one last point - Lets make sure that Warez are not discussed on here again - AFAIK there is no 'official' 8 in 1 download :)
