i`ll give my honest opinion of blackpool -
rowq upon row of utter pile of poo machines, poor payout coupled with markets that sell cheap tack. most if not all staff in arcades or restaurant were simply quite rude with not an ounce of customer care in mind.
If you live in blackpool then this post is not aimed at you, but the amenities. dire old machines such as robin hood, crazy fruits red hot knights the list goes on. if a trip down memory lane is your bag then blackpool is the destination for you. as for money, you will spend just as much in blackpool as you would in spain for 2 week all inclusive.
that said, i think most seaside resorts are the same, high prices with little or no return. this is a real split between inland amusements and seaside resorts. inland they have to quite literally keep you in there, free drinks, tv, sandwiches bingo free draws, the list goes on - whereas seaside is 72% payout where possible, 88-90% on the b3 machines (with such poor options as haunted house, cashino, monkey business etc etc). extortionate prices for 5 fecking doughnuts, fish and chips a rip off aaaggghhhh
rant over. geez i should start to write for the web hovel, alex used to love a good moan up.

To be fair, you can't find old machines here anymore. In fact there's about 3 arcades that have 1 crazy fruits each, which is a BIG difference. Thats just an example, but you are right with the money spend, you can end up spending masses if you aren't careful! Percentage wise is based upon arcade. There are about 3 arcades that are fair, the rest (ie- 3piers, mr T's, Lucky star, winter gardens) are 70-72% they are most probably the ones to avoid if coming to Blackpool!

Is that from Cash is King Mr C???
DX on the way by any chance?????
Love that slot
Tommy C would you like me to take some pics of our Cash Is King? No problem to do, can do that tomorrow?
We have just uploaded a video the other day of it...
It is the £5 version, but we do have the bigger one available it is set on £15, however will not be able to access that until I get round to it.
My experience of Blackpool was years ago, so my input will not really be worthwhile!! LOL! Big Dipper was good fun though...excellent Nightlife!
Also as for Duty Free I have several software versions on some disks if you need do improve a dx.

Yeh, there is 7 (including the tiny one in the shopping centre) 6 on the prom. Viva Espania is in one called 'AJ Ryans Snappyland'. Thats also probably the best arcade there. They have old machines from Colossus, and viva espania, up to deal or no deal... I could name them all if you wish. The owner said all machines are 80%+ when I spoke to her once, which I would say is right as they play well.
'Oasis' is ok, the rest are crap. Never really busy, so the locals tend to pley them out!
Yes I would agree it is the best one Aj Ryans as you say there is a bit of everything old and new and really good payout percentages, Deffo 80+ as you say. I would say most are around the 86% mark. I go a few nights a week there and everyone gets a fair game. Also the owners offer decent coffee and look after you. Also Seagull amusements is a well run arcade.

Was in blackpool about a month ago ... tip STAY OUT OF SLOTS OF FUN...He is the dodgiest guy ever. I played 3 machines which underpaid when paying out. After the third time of it happening i went mental and he went to the 3 machines and yanked them forward for about 15 pound coins to come out each (i was only due about 2 from each)

the reason why everything has jumped up in prices is simple to be honest, apart from coral island and funland the council own every arceade building, there for the rent on the stalls go up year after year after year so store owners like myself who spend every waking hour trying to run a burger stall to earn a wage we have to put prices up or go bankrupt, to give u an idea a mate of mine last week who works for kfc earned more in a week than i did, seems unfair, i have business rate water rates and electic bills for that stall, then i have to earn enough to pay my mortgage and my bills n provide for my 4 kids, so instead of wining about the prices there is a story behind every person on them stalls we dont like putting are prices up yet as im sure u will now agree we have no other choice, 4 years ago i had 3 stalls and 6 staff now i have 1 stall and just me running it cause i cant afford to hire people there thats is my rant over and donei`ll give my honest opinion of blackpool -
