Hi everyone!

I have followd the emu-scene for years now, and realise that we are not getting a mpu5 emulator, becurse it is to new.

BUT...is it possibel to emulate machines from other contryes?
I love the machines that are alredy emulated, and i know that it is hard work, but they all look, a little bit the same to me...hi/lo...a dice.

I am from denmark, and in the 1990` we had 2 coins play and 1200 coins jackpots. I am convinced(spelling sorry?) that you will like the machines, and therefore hope that someone will emulate them?
We also dont have hi/lo-gambeling, becurse it is an illusion...the machine alredy know what it wants to pay...therefore we have lucky-games...a bit like CLUB FOTUNE, but whit a lot more gameplay.

I know that there alredy are some sites from the netherlands(nl)...but are there other sites on the internet?

Thank you for the emulator(s) and the res`s+dx`s
Hoping that someone will reply please!

If the machines are of an already emulated tech (MPU 3/4, M1A/B, Scoorpion 1 & 2 etc) then the machines can be emulated if the ROMs and layouts are availabe. For example many of the BFMulator games are Dutch and Der Joker has released a couple of German MPU4 machines. If the machines in Denmark are not of a tech currently emulated then somebody would need to code an emulator before the machine could be emulated. Im sure in time most techs Europe-wide will be emulated but i think it is more likely that only the techs used in Britain would be emulated as most of the emulator coders (correct me if im wrong) are British. Techs like JPM System 5, Scorpion 4, MPU5, Stealth, Epoch etc etc are, unfortunately for you, probably more at the forefront of their minds. That's not to say that somebody from Denmark won't code an emulator for a Danish Tech machine - you can always hope.

Thanke you fore your reply DildoDez!

I think you are wright about, that it is more likely that we will get techs like JPM System 5, Scorpion 4, MPU5, Stealth, Epoch etc etc.
It`s just becurse when i joined the emu-scene years ago people also talked about mpu5...still hoping( I`m also hoping for mpu5 etc.).
I dont know if I`m misunderstanding somthing here, but i read that people are wondering why "someone" is asking for mpu5-layouts and roms, and therefore belives that "someone" are working on a mpu5 emulator.

Some of the old danish (1990`) was made by astra...and i was hoping that some of the manufactors alredy emulted( like barcrest) had made some games fore denmark..but still, it only works whit roms and reses.

"Der Joker has released a couple of German MPU4 machines"

Where can I download these German MPU4 machines please?
Are "Der Joker" a person on this bord, or a name of a site?

Thanks you

Jesper

A good place to start if you are looking for European machines for the emulators is http://www.fruity.nl/ - its in dutch but does have an english section on the forum where you could ask them which ones they would recommend etc.

Visit the MPU Mecca @ http://www.fruitemu.co.uk for all your old fruity needs.

Thank you fore your reply pete_w!

I alredy know about the dutch site fruity.nl, and I have also posted a "?" in the "general discussion" forum at fruity.nl(can`t post in the english section fore some reasen I dont understand)...but still no reply...still hoping. But thank you fore telling me about it.

There is one more dutch site I know about, it is called emuplaza.nl.

If you or anybody know of other sites( with diffrent layouts), I woud like to hear about them?

So fare I only know abot the english sites( really great sites), and the to dutch sites (almost identical).

Bye the way...dos anybody know if it is the same author that has made the english and dutch emulators?

thank you

Jesper

You could try Romshare. They have a lot of ROMs and layouts (particularly Dutch machines for the BFMulator) that aren't on here. You'll find them under Arcade Fruit Machines and the sub heading in here. If you download the snapshots folders you'll be able to see all the complete machines that are on there (the ones with ROMs and layouts).

Thank you

soz that 'here' shud be a 'there' which will maje more sense in a minute. You need to go to www.romshare.net and register. Then look under Arcade Fruit machines and the rest of me previous post should make sense. Hope that helps

Thank you fore your replys hurtand165 and der_joker!

I really appresiate all of the links :)

I did not know that there also were a german site for fruitemulation, and I do understand german. Ich danke dir der_joker.

Thanks a lot for the links...I have bin looking at the same sites for years, whitout knowing about the other sites...have tryed the linksection whit no luck. I have also searched google for other emulation sites...but since I dont know what the word is for "fruit-machines" in other contryes, it is hard to do the search, becurse a lot of the search result from google are from casinos, and not related to emulation.

Thank you :)

Jesper
