Hi I'm having problems getting onto facebook. When I go to favorites I click the link and the facebook home page loads but then an error box opens up saying IE cannot open the internet site www.facebook.co.uk/home.php operation abborted. When i click close it then goes to the failed to load page! Does anyone have any idea how to fix this please?

Have you tried using any other browser, then just use Internet Explorer? E.G. Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari? as i use Google Chrome and never had a problem with it as some people have been having issues with loading pages within Internet Explorer since version 8...so it might not be you, it might be Internet Explorer having problems itself.

I have version 7 of IE, It worked fine until windows did some update then restarted. Very strange!

The missus was trying to grab a .pdf file from the net this morning..wouldnt load..told her to copy the URL into Firefox and hey presto..worked first time.
IE is bawz end of..

I was having no end of problems using IE with Facebook, loading pictures took forever and it was incredibly slow.
Installed Firefox and problem solved.
Dump IE would be my recommendation, lol!!

Yeah I have ff but the gf uses that for her facebook just saves having to keep logging in every time.
