i must say that from the pictures posted i prefer bongo's , it just seems clearer. saying that i will not be downloading either of them so i can not judge from the in emulator view.

the screenshot earlier was rather deceptive, it does look poor in comparison now.

as for decency, i made it clear i was not a fan of partytime and would not be downloading them so the only thing i had to go off was the screenshots. now i have seen a proper one i agree madmans is better, it is obvious that the effort has been put in where as with bongo's its obvious it has not.

I did not say I've put in any effort, which I havent. Madman has put effort in, but nothing wrong with doing an alternitive layout

but i didn,t take a public domain picture and dump it in the menu and create 3 lamps for the win decals.................... .

If that is getting compared to my layout and even being quoted as better by alayout designer without him even having the decency to download them to see the mile wide difference.i think i,ll give up now.... :twisted: :-? :x

I said from the start "Its SHIT" See Pound Run, and he thinks im trying to have a contest with him and that he's put effort in and blah blah blah... I will never knock classics as a hell of a lot of work goes into them..........But i'm gonna say now (and this is a first from me) -- remember yours Bongo?

.........I found SEVERAL mistakes and was very discreet and PM'ed you...........It was taken on board by yourself and you corrected the mistakes--I cannot do better as I have never attempted a classic---Then again I NEVER knock peoples attempts (again until now!)..........Now just how long did that take you to do?--a fair while too I believe?

Personally this is the last time I will make a direct response to one of your postings unless it's a sensible subject...........In all the time I have been on Emu I have NEVER met such a --------- Hmm I'd better stop there I think!

It seems to me, that because of all the enthusiasm over Party Time, we have a situation here that smacks of cheap shots. By what I've taken in, Madman has spent some time creating a Party Time hybrid to cash in on this enthusiasm. Nothing wrong with that al all. Then along comes Bongo who fancies a little bit of the limelight himself. In the process, in some sort of manner to try and gain some sort of respect, he not only releases his own version but posts a poll.

Both layouts will have their supporters. No need for a poll at all. It's nice to see guys trying their hand at layout creating but it's surely not worth whining and arguing about is it? The worst thing about all this is that it isn't even Party Time. It's a bloody hybrid. Something that people do for fun to pass a few hours away and usually release for those who may be interested with the finished product.

The whole point of layout creating is creating the layouts for yourself. You make them because you can. If you feel it is worthy enough, you share your offering with others. If people download it and play it, you've made someone smile. Simple as that! Don't get me wrong, when I create a layout and 500 plus people download it, I do get a buzz but this is a bonus rather than the actual reason for releasing the layout. On the otherhand, when I release a layout that gets less than 100 downloads, I don't think the members of the scene are miserable buggers. I don't care. Take it or leave it. I won't be losing sleep. Once we start releasing layouts to try and gain respect, we lose the plot. The 'mine is better than yours' attitude gets us nowhere. It just develops anger and hatred. considering we are all here as participators in a hobby, do we really want to fight amongst one another.
