Me and my mate were bored last Friday night so we went down to Weston in his new Clio 182 (fast as f***!) cus we both had money burning holes in our pockets. Got down there at 10:05 and all the arcades were open. I took about £30 with me (plus my cash card!!), which quickly became £3!!! Chucked about £12 in a 5p/£5 jp Pac Man machine - what a load of bollox!! Someone on here said it was good - Bollox! Maybe im a useless twat on fuities, but on the feature board id get a couple of goes then straight onto mystery - out of about 7 options flashing up only one was positive which was high-low gamble. All the rest were game over, lose, lost life etc.

Then my mate had a go and i pissed off to a party time machine. Then some Townie clocked him and promptly was giving him tips - TOTALLY RANDOM MY MATE TELLS ME!! Getting bonus nudges and nudging in total non-sense. Then it started shelling out £2, £3 and £4 prizes. I got f*** all out of it, he got about £18. What the hell was i doing wrong?

Stayed in there till about 11:50 and all i got was a f*****g dent in my overdraft!! Anyone know what i was doing wrong? Or is it just f*****g crooked arcade machines that only townies can play???

If you had an overdraft how could cash be burning a hole in your pocket?? Pay off the overdraft first, then losing more money wont feel as bad  If you aint got it, dont gamble it  what a nugget of advice!!

I agree with finhandley. If you already have an overdraft don't spend more.

Out here in california, if you were to try writing checks with no funds it would get bounced, you'd get accused of fraud - and 3 jailable offences here is what they call 3strikes.... i.e. 3rd one is pretty much life with bubba. (when i was living in england, for about 18months, for a couple of reasons, i was playing fruities - losing mostly - and cashing checks all the time.... ended up with having to hand in my check/atm card and checks - very not good 1 month before xmas and no prezzies bought for anyone!)

Thanks for the financial tips guys, but i was really asking for your opinions about Weston Super Mare, crooked arcades, townies etc...but never mind.

Just to save you from any more sleepless nights - i only went into my overdraft cus i spent the last of my cash on the machines - i have just bought a house so i didnt have much money in my account. It was 2days to pay day and i wanted to carry on playing. I have a well paid job, and the overdraft was only for about £25 so i paid it off no problem as soon as my wages were in my account.

PS - i dont use cheques so i dont/wont ever commit fraud.

Well, I've got a mate who lives in Weston and he says its a nice town....

Crooked arcades?? probably..Every arcade I've ever gone into has at least one "friend of the manager" who hovers about ,,emptying machines you've just filled up..I call that crooked

As for townies..if they are the only people who seem to be able to play these "crooked machines" then leave them to it and take up poker. Then beat all the townies at poker  , and get out of town quick before they set their dogs on you.

Hope that helps
