Could Strike It Rich by Maygay be emulated by any chance? It's based on the ITV game show hosted by Michael Barrymore where you collect diamonds and avoiding 3 Hot Spots or you lose. I have only seen this machine ONCE - and that was when I found an ancient roulette machine as well!

Was this a club machine? If it's the one i'm thinking of it's quite similar to Mike Reads Big Night Out.

Hmmmm. The only one we know about is a Strike it Rich SWP from Maygay. Barcrest also have a Strike it Rich machine.
A search reveals this old webpage which is no longer available
FremantleMedia Enterprises
... SWP, AWP & video AWP for Family Fortunes, Play Your Cards Right and Strike it Rich. Maygay Machines •SWP for Strike it Rich. Lollipop Entertainment ...
This would seem to indicate there is only a Maygay SWP.
Do you have any pics by any chance?

Definately remember a Clubber with Hotspots and Diamonds, we had it in our club years ago £200 £100 Jackpot, Dual Stake, 1 or 3 winlines. And M1 Tech. Very similar to Mike Reads but cant remember the correct name.

I remember this machine from local clubs and the ferries between NI and Scotland. Collecting diamonds around the board led to a winning streak (provided you weren't killed before getting the required number of diamonds). I think the macnine was called Diamonds are Forever.

I REALLY did see Strike It Rich by Maygay. Perhaps it was a very rare machine, just like that ancient roulette machine I once found!

Not disbelieving you at all. It is possible that it was a test machine that failed. If that is the case then it is unlikely it would appear on any Maygay literature. For example when M1 was killed off, machines from Eastenders onwards were shown as being unsupported in future. As licenced games didn't really start for Maygay until Monopoly/Eastenders, and Strike it Rich the TV show wasn't around until the later 90's (being Strike it Lucky before that) you would expect it to be listed on the retirement sheet. However having said that there are errors on that list too, Wild Zone was shown twice and the various Pink Panther AWP machines were not shown at all! You can check out the announcement here. <--- (Click the word "here")
If it was failed test then it is going to be extremely difficult to get hold of information about it, unless of course someone knows where there is one of these still around. If it was released in the late 90's then it would be most likely an Epoch based machine, in which case you are talking to the wrong guys

Might give it a go even if mute still another layout in the archive's. On the subject of missing layout's I was scanning forthcoming topics like I do incase hidden gems can be found i came across bobby dazzler by liverpool2008 I take it no ROMs run for it yet and would have to use corrie ROMs+ mute instead anyways did the dx of it ever get released. If not maybe I could give that a go too if no one objects.
