I think this thread died after it was said to be 'released' and then we waited, then it was due to be 'released' again, but wasn't, then we waited a extended long time after that, to be told it was to be 'released' again but it isn't here?? I think many of the FME users have gone off this topic now and not bothering as it's too late to fix the gaps in the void!, waste of time for an update IMHO as well, shouldn't tell people it would be 'released' on such a date when it isn't, that is just making people lose interest.
The update is, we will be waiting at least another few months-few years before it is properly all done...by then, most people would of gone and forgot about this and that it didn't exist.

you are indeed entitled to your opinion. me however i`ll wait, download, play and praise when the time comes.
i bet you download it aswell as countless others (daryl apparently excluded BUT when ever he says.. curiosity killed the cat me thinks)

I can definitely assure you nails I will NOT be using the emulator if and when it is released… I have never had any intention to either. I don’t even use FME anymore, apart for occasionally playing the odd Random Game over at DADs FME. I have a Mac Mini computer now, using Mac OS X Lion so any FME won’t run on it at all properly, so I know that Guitar’s Amber would definitely be a no-go on it.
Besides all that, I am not really bothered about learning how to use a new emulator, that only has one tech AND is what MFME runs anyway, apart from the odd few games… life is complicated enough for me now without having to learn something new for which we already have a decent emu for anyway.
I have praised Guitar for all his work he has put in to making the emulator… he has achieved far more than any of us will ever achieve, especially in FME land, but because of how things are with me, the disappointments the scene has had within the last year from both emu creators, the promises and continued letdowns you have all had with regards to Amber and the total disregard for how the FME scene has been treated these past few weeks, I certainly have no interest in Amber whatsoever… however I will ALWAYS speak up for how I feel about FME in general… just because I don’t play it now, doesn’t mean I don’t care… I have been a member of all the FME forums for over 10 years now, from its very beginnings… and will, as long as I can… always follow it and have my say - with a passion!

Sorry robinhood75 but posts like that just make matters worse. Please tell Guitar to tell us why its been delayed and not to treat us like children.

OK fair point but I'm just annoyed at people complaining about something which is costing them nothing and costing guitar countless hours of work. Yeah I can understand the frustration DAD, I've made a layout in amber and want it to be released so people can play it as soon as possible but I also have to wait until its finished. I know that giving release dates was not a good idea too and should have waited until something solid was ready but I guess he wanted to keep this place alive.
I've just spoken to guitar who said that the emu is still being worked on but he is doing other stuff too and he will post an update when there is something definite to post about.
