I think you all should stop moaning and wait patiently like most members are,you should be encouraging guitar not hounding him for a release, if it was me i would be shelving the whole project.
Guitar you dont deserve the criticism ,everyone should understand that like all new things designed there will be unforeseen flaws so i would rather have a reliable emu not something rushed out just to please the minority of moaners.Good luck mate.

All too often in FME enthusiasm leads to frustration, whilst this latest delay is disappointing, I feel Guitar is doing the right thing from not posting, let's just accept that no news means it will (in Valve style) be done, when it's done !

Don't get me wrong I am as disappointed as the rest of you, but let's keep it from going sour before it's even started please.

He's obviously put in a great deal of time and releasing it broken would be doing himself a massive disservice.

I'd be happy to play around with a beta version... the more people to test it the better.

i think that was kinda what i was hinting for early december, but guitar said, he would rather a finished product than a broken one.

It may be in before Xmas, it might not, a big rewrite is in progress to ensure the sound works on WIndows 7 properly. If its not in by xmas it will be along soon after.

I was a lot busier than I had anticipated over christmas and I still have a couple of days work left just to write the docs and help files. It will go out as soon as its ready, Friday at the latest but if its ready before (which it should be) it will go out as and when.

When Amber is released it will be simply too late, the interest has gone for most. TBH after the carrot dangling even if MFME update was released I wouldn't even load it up (it was such a blow and just too low to recover from). Nothing now could get me interested in FME, nothing.

I still like to read the comment though from all the old buggers on the scene, whether it's "for" or "against"!

IMO the 'will it' 'wont it' saga dosent interest me one bit..im neither for it or against it..

Sure it will be great when Amber gets released , if it injects new life into FME then im all for it..however its not really worth losing sleep over..it will be ready when its ready.

Untill then everyone will just need to remain patient and as they say all good things come to those who wait.

I know guitar has spent a shitload of time on this which we are all grateful for im sure , but he has also had other commitments which have to come first obv.

No point in looking forward to something on the basis of 'it might be' or 'it will be' .

point is why doesn't guitar just say whats going on.Personally I don't mind waiting until the sound is working,just come out and say the testing didn't go well more time is needed or whatever the hold up is.Maybe he has be nobbled by the inner circle

dont worry about it as ive got my own emulator comming out tomorrow, it plays DOND and everything. theres a few things i need to sort out before tomorrows release like write the code from scratch then bug fix ect, but it will deffinatly be out tomorrow, or monday, failing that next friday, should any problems arise itl be out be easter, if not then deffo an Xmas release or possably the beginning of 2013, but the worlds gonna end on 21/12/2012 sod it i quit, cba to write the code now as im all depressed about the end of the world :/

if i was nick id tell em all to f**k off TBH, no need for some of the posts, you`re getting a coded from scratch emulator which if commissioned could cost who knows how much and we`re seeing comments like we are - its a free emulator FFS - wind your necks in and have some patience !!!

Thats the kind of comments that pi$$ designers off. I know it's in jest but think of it this way. Say you was the one that had spent months and months on something for free and was going to release it for free and then you have a few set backs and people start moaning etc how would you feel if you saw a post like that? I would think you know what f*$k it! Why bother if all they are going to do is mock it like this let them make one for themselves.
