I've got my laptop back after having it in repair for a bad hard disk. A few teething problems all sorted but one I can't get my head around is that my FME RAMs aren't saving properly. I'll open a layout with a happy machine, kill it dead, load it again and it's happy. The first few spins are the same every time I load it, and cashpots just reset to what they were at the start of when I played before. Pretty annoying now as I can't have a good long play over time otherwise I'll lose everything once the emulator is closed.
I downloaded MFME all in one, however all my layouts and emulators aren't stored in any folders that were provided on install. I just made my own 'Games' folder and dumped all my layouts in there. They're all various techs but all set for MFME.
If anyone could be of assistance I'd be very happy indeed!
Cheers all!

"I'll open a layout with a happy machine, kill it dead, load it again and it's happy."
Not sure what you mean by "kill it dead" If you mean it does not load properly and you have to close the emulator and then reopen it in order to get the game to load then may I suggest you update your audio/sound drivers. This can cause problems
which seem totally unrelated, so it may also cure your ram problem.
Try the AC'97 from the link below. Once installed if it makes no difference just go into properties, and select roll back driver, and that will reinstall the ones you are using at the moment.

Cheers all for your help so far :-)
I've physically deleted some rams as well, played 2 or 3 quid off them new, and load it up again. The reset on the reels(normally Jackpot) is displayed on reload.
One thing I've thought is that in my FME folder I've got all the games, and then SHORTCUT files to the emulators which have been extracted somewhere else by the "all in one". So I was wondering if just moving them back into the main folder would make a difference
EDIT: Just tried this and unfortunately it's still the same. The emulators are now in the folder with the games instead of just shortcuts. But the rams still don't save emselves.

If you look in your fme folder you should have an games data base file put a copy of this were you have your shortcuts for your emulators.Give that a try and see if it then saves the state of your games.Cheers all for your help so far :-)

Stupid question but, have you made sure your FME folder (and subfolders) aren't read only?

Hmm I'm sure I sorted that when the laptop came back! But no, I checked, and they were still read only! So I got rid of that, apply, you need admin permission etc etc did that, seems OK...Check on properties and it's read only again! Since I've had this laptop back it's been a lot of trouble

Sorry Tommy didn't mean to ignore that post! I haven't been myself lately....I blame Mr. Becks hehe
I tried that but couldn't find a database file at all in the MFME thing. C>Program Files(x86)>MFME is now empty...unless this data file is hidden.
