A couple of nights ago I was sat playing at one of Blackpools famous Party Time Arena five player parlours. I was sitting at player three and there was a young fat lady sitting on player one and another older lady at player number five. It was just the three of us there for the most of that evening and neither of us was on any kind of winning streak, it was just strictly winning a bit, then ploughing it back in, then winning it again and so on.... with fair hits up on the top game amongst us so myself and the other players wernt too disapointed, however the fat lady on player one was really pissing me off, every time she got a winning combination, she would constantly bash (not gently press) and when I say bash I mean she would bash furiously at the three Hold/Nudge buttons so hard that it sent a torrent of annoying vibrations down the other machines, hoping that by doing this it would trigger the top game. Everytime she did this I felt like taking a good big scream into her face to tell her that doing what she does doesnt work and explaining why. Also whenever she did hit the top game, she would sit there for the whole of the wait until the game played automatically, another annoying habit which I find to boil my blood. Can somebody please tell me where do these magical myths come from? Do they actually work because I am beggining to lose my patience with the people that do this. It never the red hot roll three player, never snakes and ladders three player, its always the damn party time arena!!!

I have decided to approve this thread as i'm in awe at this idiots mentality (yes I did say that).....Steel has issues with 'fat' people it appears (seeing as that was a major issue of his (as mentioned more than once))....and simple replies that he should already know the answers to.
Yawn attempt at humour steele tbh fella, but that's my opinion.

I found this weird arcade when i was in Skegness..my daughter stuck a quid in Party-Time arena and on like the 3rd spin it dropped in 3 Astra's..then spat out 5 pound coins without even trying to count up the bank.
Then she got up and it dropped in the jackie .. again paused while it spat out five pound coins..next spin kicked off.
I went over to the normal 3 player stand up Party-Time and nudged in 3 X's..again it spat out 4 10p's without so much as the bank moving..then got up.
Has anyone else seen machines that do this..do you think they are deliberatley set that way to avoid the button bashing crew ?

funny you mention that, in forum (felixstowe) 4 player sit down with the spin top, only one of them spits the money out, but apprently its because of a manafacture fault !?!

i do sometimes tap the buttons, tap the glass on the partytime logo, even stroke the 3 jp balloon symbols when on the top board which looks good when they actually drop in but i know all of the above don,t actually make the machine pay out more it,s just a habit i wonder who or where it all started from way back in 98 when the machines were 1st made they,re the most simplest machine to get jackies from though thats why all the old biddy,s play em apart from Bar-X,s i,ve played an 8-player £5jp partytime in torquay it said player 16 its you when went up on player7 has anyone played on a bigger one.... player 124367898754633432 its you lets play partytime lol

This is one of my pet hates. Whenever I see people doing it I tell them " You do know that, that does nothing whatsoever" And what is even more annoying is they are the first ones to complain when a button breaks or sticks.

i can guarantee you it is not a fault, the machines are set to pay out instantly for several reasons,, the main reason is to stop streaks emptying the machines thus tripping the IOU scenario,,,, then not only does the engineer need to be called for the refil but it also renders the machine out of order which obviously reduces takings + therefore can seriously effect the profits of the site. remember time is money + while it is un playable it could of missed out on a few punters wage packets!!! another reason is to deliberately prevent certain machines being forced due to the high drift, again very costly to a site + owner especially when it can me multiplied on many machines.also alot of manu's have become very untrusting as far as the programmers are concerned -- lets face it they have no way of knowing of any hidden emptiers,, again only avilable under the right conditions + therefore it minimises the risk again. they are always considering fresh ideas to make more profits + not to be caught with their pants down hahaI found this weird arcade when i was in Skegness..my daughter stuck a quid in Party-Time arena and on like the 3rd spin it dropped in 3 Astra's..then spat out 5 pound coins without even trying to count up the bank.

The most common reason they set the machines to direct payout, is if short pays they can see what you had on the winline.

Blackpool Coral Island... in 18 area has 9 player area. 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 do sound weird compared to the usual 4 player. There's an Adders and Ladders arena (or was) in Ingoldmells near Skegness with 7 players. Ive never seen more than 4 players for Monopoly Plasma, although I know it can have more players with different objects, like the wheelbarrow
back to this though, I myself press the buttons (1 2 3) together when I get a win... It doesnt make ANY difference like people say, Its just the way PartyTime's have always been for people, and yes, just party time
I also used to tap the matrix display on GG/Monopoly to take a credit, like a chav would, but don't do this amy more due to that!

This will be set accourding to the machine. The dip switch setting will allow either bank ups, or direct pays. Why owners do this is sometimes unknown, I personally hate it!I found this weird arcade when i was in Skegness..my daughter stuck a quid in Party-Time arena and on like the 3rd spin it dropped in 3 Astra's..then spat out 5 pound coins without even trying to count up the bank.

It still wouldn't stop the 'button bashing' by all means though!
