MFME is dead, no amount of whinging about it or who has it is, isnt going to change anything - who cares who has it blah blah blah

MFME is not dead it,s just not being updated there,s loads of machines here that need updating and classic versions to be dx,ed even machines that haven,t been made into layouts yet so there,s plenty of life in the old dog yet whilst we await the eventual release of "amber" so in the mean time long live MFME long may it survive

Is that it? i mean its all gone quiet on the so called release (more to the point the lack of release)
There must have been a team of people involved with the new layouts (do you rember the S4 layouts? each was a fantastic artwork release, reel bands scanned, flyers edited etc etc, it must have taken months to produce sooo many BFM layouts) an now we see the infamous carrot dangling video `what could have been` to rub our noses into it.
The conclusion to all the posts is obvious, there will not be another release due to MAME poking its `rightful` nose in. but have we forgot this emu was once sold, and many times updated, leaked and up untill as many weeks back - promised an update.
he did it once, i may lay bets he'll do it again....

Wizard won't release an updated MFME even if God himself sends a sacred fart in his general direction.
People need to move on. Once Amber is released and MAME starts putting things together we will hopefully all come to regard MFME as a good starter for 10.

It will take a few years to get up and fully running and up to date but when we get there we will look back at this and think wtf was all the fuss about. Some guy that thinks he is the god of MFME (well he is technically as he made mfme) who can make hundreds if not thousands of people happy or sad with just a few words. Makes me sick that he has to be so immature about the whole fiasco and sticking that big orange carrot in our faces. Yeah I appreciate what's been achieved and have had 5 years of blissful gaming but I guess all good thing must come to an end and it looks like MFME has now reached it's time and needs to make way for the 2nd gen of emulation which is AMBER

In all this confusion i seem to have forgotten about amber. having andy capp with proper lamping would be awesome.
on a side note, who in mame will code the new emulator? is it soebody within this scene already? or somebody from mame who gets sent a rom and then gets it to work? if thats the case, send them a DOND and stop people whinging ??

It's a member within the scene,his username at dads is Haze,at this current moment he's been sorting out all the roms which were in the dat,afaik this is nearly complete.At the moment i think it's just haze and a few others that are doing the coding,when it begins,heres a link to one of the threads at dads.thanks for your replies guys, and your right - moving on is a way forward.

Just SHITLOADS of roms to re-build etc if you 'play mame' about 5/6 gig so far from MAME143 to MAME 143.U4

El Condor is working hard on it, as is Haze. Ive been talking to them and answering questions about various bits, as well as sending them the full amber source to crib from.
