Has anyone got banned from arcades just for losing? This has happened in Newquay once during the 99 Eclipse festival. The arcade was New Space City but it's now been closed down.

My mate and I used to go to the local arcade, in the days of eastenders and corro street - tokens of course !!

Anyways sometimes corro street used to streak every now and then

Well this time my mate was on the receiving end and got three jackpots in a row. 18 quid of tokens

He went to the cashier desk, ( you could swop the tokens for fags and chocoloate)

and the owner was fuming, she gave him the cash for the tokens, told him he was banned. She then switched off corro.

Two weeks later we came back, and she let us back in, and for some strange reason corro had gone!

The other thing we noticed from that point, whenever someone got a streak on the other machines, as soon as they had finished playing, the woman would come along, switch off the machine and go back into her hole. A little later, she would re-appear with a screwdriver, and start fiddling with the machines ! What was she doing !!!!

Funny days.

I got banned for losing a couple of years ago - over £100 into a JPM Coliseum without so much as a tenner offered...mind you, I think giving the machine an almighty kick and then shouting a stream of obscenities and threats might have swayed the case in the arcade's favour somewhat... :roll: :roll: :roll:

I am always kicking the shite outta fruit machines every time i play em, i've been physically removed from pubs by bouncers before, and once i kicked one so hard it actually went off with 18 quid in the bank and i couldnt find the plug socket anywhere to turn the c*** back on

I wonder if there's home office statistics on criminal offences involving damage and/or fraud on gaming machines - I bet they're sky f*****g high! :airplane:

Never been banned for loosing. Been banned numerous times for winning in various arcades in Brighton.

One arcarde I used to go to did something similar. The owners would put tape over the coin slot to stop people playing.

Used to get banned from local bowling alley for kicking shite out of the bottom of bandits i was doing my bollocks in. funny how they let you back in when they realise takings are down..... :-? 8O

I wasn't banned... But a friend was. It wasn't for loosing (although the lady refused to give him the money)

Living In Btn DrNo knowing that there are loads of regulars, was this because of someone like me.....They know you'll do your boots and your just popping to the CashPoint and you'll be straight back to it?.....That is just prior to the Bank repossing them because of things like this that cause people to worry about the dough owed to the bank later?
