Ok, what you were doing wrong:

1) Earning more money than you have brain cells.

I'm sorry, but how can anyone waste 120 pound in these damned machines. It makes me sad when i hear this. It's almost as bad as a guy i saw in the post office a few weeks back. He went in to collect his family benefits. £180 for the week, so he obviously has kids and maybe a wife he's collecting for too... what does he do? buys 90 scratchcards (FROM THE POST OFFICE AS SOON AS HE GETS HIS CASH!) and then loses, and goes to drink his sorrows away in the pub, and plays fruities. The only sane reason for putting £120 in a machine, is if you're trying to find out everything about it... and have the keys to get your money back.

I'm a gambling fool. I'll easily put money in a machine if i have the cash... but 5... maybe ten pounds is the most, and i always make sure i leave any wins in a seperate pocket and dont put it back in. If you did that, then when you'd put £60 in, and realises you had next to nothing back, you'd have probably quit earlier.

But i digress... things you did wrong were probably;

1) not knowing the machine and it's features... thus pushing for a high feature, when a lower one would offer more money. (Pie Factory 2 being a good example. Feature #1 often gives me a fiver, numbers 2 3 and 4 rarely go above £3)

2) not using simple techniques... 3 holds... nudge and hold... that kind of crap.

3) playing it immediately after someone else does. Take note, that seeing someone putting 10 quid in a machine and not winning, isn't a good sign. Many people suggest playing a machine when someone does that... i rarely ever do, cause chances are it was emptied. Exception being, i put £3 in and win £6... then leave... someone puts a tenner in and gets nothing. I put £3 in then, and get £10 back.

4) trying to force jackpot... when it works, it's great. But so many people end up crying, after a kid puts £1 in and win the jackpot after they'd put their £100 in. Instead, take some small wins. If you're planning on putting in all your damned cash... may as well have some small wins to help you play longer.

5) knowing the feature table... depending on the machine, some feature boards allow you to collect on the ? squares... find out if yours does, and if it does, then keep playing the machine until you land on one. If it's your first 3 goes... gamble... if not, then you're best off collecting (just from my experience)

6) listen to the machine as your money goes in... if you hear your money fallto the floor of the cabinet (you can hear it hit, as it echoes and then rolls around a little bit) then the hopper is full. Gamble your money as much as you can... wherever it kills you, take note. Then play again, it'll let you in the feature soon enough. Gamble back to where it killed you and this time, collect. (doing this, i got £40 out of a machine... a mate had been trying to force JP and died, losing about £20 in the process... from my fiver, i gambled and collected 3x£12 and got a £4 win off of one feature)

They're just some tips from my playing experience... but i know nothing. I barely stray from 4 machines, and that's only because i know their features and in total have won about £700 off them in the last 6 months... and barely put in £200.

So yeah, i know nothing compared to most here who will help you better... but at least i have some spare change.

ah i think it was called wildslide been in the bookies since monday sorry to say am an addicted gambler been off them ofr six months till yesterday cause cant find any free sites which offer help with winning on the dam things

I used to be heavily addicted too... and the the way i stopped was quite easy. Just put a few quid in (3-5) and if the money falls over the back, then play for big money. If it doesn't, then take the wins your given. Slowly but surely, i've stopped being addicted to the point of putting all my money in em

8) good idea did stop playing em 4 6 months just had small bets on dogs horses

Last time I played a magic 10 I had to put £117 in just to get my first win! (£10). I left with just enough petrol money to get me home, and never whent back.

Great policy except on recent machines seems to make very little differences...examples being Impulse 'WildFire' which take anything around £150 +- a bit to kick off the streak. Many of the BFM machines I've played have dropped in a streak when NOT backing, normally as someone takes a JP and runs, rather than playing for a couple more red board e.t.c

Can't say that I've heard of this 'WildSlide' machine yet, but then I don't play bandits anymore. Still look out for new developments though and play the occasional Trivia machine [much more time per £1 ]

I'd normally check the Manus websites but they are all so ridiculously out of date [the JPM site has said the Crystal website is 'COMING SOON' for a good 2 years?]

If you find the manufacturers name, great. If not, how about the symbols used, colour of Manus logo, type of cabinet? [i.e Barcrest Genesis 1+2 cabinets are used by 5 Manufacturers!]

Sorry to say I agree with a previous poster,that's a bad strategy.If you're doing that yoou're still in the addiction loop.

What you're doing wrong is playing them.

Put the money away for a vacation/something you'd like. (And don't tell yer bird or she'll try and spend it)

I would like to add if you dont mind , that the money fallin into the cashbox is pure myth. A machine can pay a jackpot when the hopper is bone dry. It will display IOU or will alarm like hell.
Trust me in this day and age its not rocket science to determin when a machine is ready to give a little. I would suggest exactly that. Collect small wins , observe what is going on , and if after a tenner you get nowt leave the thing alone its on the take for the nice man who owns the establishment.

Before moving onto 25 pounders try some cash in a 5 pounder and look at what its doing , its a good way to learn.
But best of all my advise is play for fun have a few nuggets then leave wel alone . Machines are in sites for one dam good reason to make cash for the premesis and not you. There programed that way. Gone where the days of a decent fruite with good games and value for money

yeah..party areas/party time...they are so crap, i saw this bloke stick in £90 and got nothing and i still wouldn't go on it, cos i know its just not even worth my time (not pun). and its not just the one in my local thats shite...all the ones ive seen all over the country is like it...

if u actually get to see how much it takes in per JP...u wouldn;t touch them either......."player one its YOU!"....£2
