Having seen plenty of people here talk about being addicted, and having been so myself, i was wondering if anyone has ever gone to G.A. about it, or if G.A. deals with fruities etc?

8O yes i went there about twice just not my seen talking ta others about my problems and they talk about all other kinds o gamblers too like casino junkies or lotto addicts

ditto, i went a few times and like i'm sat there listening to people who remortgaged their ill mam's house for stake money and one had been to prison for holding up a bank etc. makes u think how bad you can get, i couldnt handle it though.

Yeah I went for about 6 weeks. To be honest, I thought it was the biggest crock of shit ever. I can see how it might help some people, but it didn't really do a lot for me. I stopped playing machines because it was hurting my family too bad. What happens (in the meetings I went to anyway), was that you'd arrive about 8, and the meeting would start. People would take it in turns to say how their week had gone. This was basically a "oh my god, you should sooo pity my pathetic little life" kind of speeches. I just found it a bit sad, but there we go. Then at the end, you'd say a prayer (seriously)! How this is supposed to help I'll never know, not being at all religious. Oh well!

yeah man i always felt like a tit when you'd get c***s going 'my name is john, im a compulsive gambler and my last gamble was 6 months ago' and then come to me 'hey my name is dave and my last gamble was about 45 mins ago'
