spotted dick is going very very slow. it loads up ok but takes an age when pressing start and then reels stick halfway through spinning. hope someone can help.

look at Advance>Emulator>MPU/Cartridge settings.................there's a slide bar to alter the speeds

tried it but its still the same. press satart and nothing happens for a while then spins very slow.

Hi BJ..this could be one of a few things thats happening..it happens with some machines i play..because ive got a small processer 550mhz i have to turn down the delay on all machines..as ady explained..or..depending what OS your running..there may be too many processes running in the background..such as your anti-virus..msn messenger etc.

Try doing the CTRL-ALT-DEL and see which ones you can safely shut down..giving you more processer speed for the emulator.

its more likely that the cpu LATENCY needs to be increased, whenever this is low for me, it pauses halfway on any machine, even pausing 10 times during a spin. Try putting the latency on max and see what happens.
