Could anyone get a photo of one of these please? I don't think I've seen one of them yet... :-?
Is there any real difference, or it it just like when they took the original genisis cab and made it a tad taller?

it seems wider, and also the barcrest button has returned (on vamp it up at least anyway) the buttons are like weird shapes too + not totally flat either and a lot bigger + the cabinet has a frilly edge... oh and theres a HUGE barcrest logo at the top of the machine oh and the coin slot is different and v. posh too its now round and didnt appear to have a coin reject button thing(unless i just didnt notice it) for when ur quid gets stuck

Has anybody got a photo? I thought that Barcrest were still on the Taller Genesis 2 cabinet, as the pictures on their website indicate?
Just a really grainy phone photo would be excellent!
I never saw the need for a cabinet upgrade, only 3 years since New Genesis and that seems to be fine IMHO.
HUGE EDIT ]

On Vamp It Up they were still using the Taller Genesis 2 cabinet, although with weird grainy plastic down the sides of the hydraulic door. Never noticed this 'HUGE barcrest logo either', and if it didn't have a coin reject slot, it probably wasn't a Mars coin gate, could have been a dodgy other manufacturer, or maybe the bulb was out?
Another point, the huge Barcrest logo wasnt a big cardboard fold out mounted on top of the cabinet?
Having checked Barcrest website, they claim that their latest machine, 'Horn of Plenty' [LIKE THE WORLD NEEDS ANOTHER 'CASH BANG WALLOP' CLONE!!], is also in the Taller Genesis 2 Cabinet, which has been in use since about 2002. If there was a newer cabinet, I would expect it to have been launched at the ATEI earlier this year, to gain some testing and opinions.
Having said that, pictures would still be much appreciated!

just noticed another difference last night too. the coin payout tray is more visible and kindas situated in the left - centre side of the machine (it makes a lot more noise when paying out too) rather than the enclosed black discreet bit that used to be on the right hand side. will try and get a pic of it later today if im about (oh and as a reply to my previous post abolut the coin slot, it does have a reject button but its like a half moon black shape. inside the round grey slot bit) i aint seen any pics of this cabinet on barcrests websites either..

i think most people will of already seen the new jpm cabinet as it has been around for quite a while now, the neon strip down the sides looks cool, so does the light in the coin tray.

I'm sorry for ever doubting you guys
[tucks into his humble pie]
Not a bad looking cabinet When they start incorperating it onto their flyers, I'd enjoy doing some layouts with it
I guess thats the problem with living out in the swamp, all that are sited around here are shite machines - here are the machines in the pubs where I drink :
SuperCharged [Barcrest] - Actually, not bad...but fairly old.
Big Cheese [Barcrest] - least said about that, the better!!!
Jackpot Junction [BFM] - AWFUL clone of Count Yer Cash et al.
Monopoly [BFM] - Another BFM, not too bad, but not my sort of machine.
Snakes and Ladders [BFM] - not played, since I quit playing Only sited last week, and also next to it [about 1cm away!] is another BFM machine :
I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! [BFM] - also not played.
Doctor Dosh [BFM] - I only like as I had many IMs from it, took out £115 from about a £50 stake once.
Lord of the Rings MK1 [BFM] - WHY HAVEN'T THEY BEEN SCRAPPED?!!!!
Royal Roulette [Impulse] - Maybe its the 70% target, but I'll guess its just another flat pathetic Impulse with the £100>£125 streak ability.
Seems to me that most locals are unable to support anything but BFM at the moment, due to their streak profiles and cashbox returns.
The only reasonable machines are in the chain pubs about 16 miles away, the chain pub in Spalding [Hungry Horse - Greene King] has 3 machines sited directly next to each other, 1 metre away from the bar. They say its because they have to keep an eye on it, turns out all the bar staff play it, even while working, including the manager
Did see one interesting machine last night which was new [Date on the back was 16th Aug 2004, its initial Electrical Safety Check thingy]
A Monopoly game by Mazooma, 'Wonders of the World' - with an End to End trail, rather than the BFM Monopoly Wraparound trail, and a 1>11 [Extra Life] trail rather than symbols.
Didn't play it though, I'll stick with Guinness and Darts - at least until I am on a proper income and can afford to lose money

Sorry for a double post, but if I added something to the one above it would be swamped
Anyway, I was wondering about 2 things -
One, why would Barcrest redesign the glass of an existing machine to fit this cabinet? Are there some serious security issues or something?
Also, I can't see any mounting for a Note Acceptor on that cabinet, although the front glass is for a De-Reg machine [it shows 'Notes'] above the alpha?
EDIT] Just noticed to the right of the coin acceptor, there is some black plastic sticking out the side of the cabinet - could that be it?
On the back of the machine [I know this is cheeky of me!], does it mention that the cabinet is a Prototype or similar?
Don't check on my account, it isn't important, I'm just intrigued

Well at least on that one, I can see where the note mech is
I'd be nice to get new machines around where I live, although to be honest, I still wouldn't play them
