Quite a common tech at the mo, but without it, a machine will not run.

I would say one would probs fetch around £20, as most small machine mpu's like this would do generaly, though always worth checking the listing on e-bay and make a call from that.

There is a lot more on a scorp4 though.

Like with Epoch, there is a number of boards that work in modular design, so rather than replace a whole board as you would have to on scorp4, you just replace a section, pretty much like you do with a FRU (Field replacement unit)..... whole idea is to make repairs easier.

ye i understand what you mean but the newer the product the less "spare" ones are available, plus brand new mpu6's are quite expensive

mpu6 has been out for some time now, yet the older stuff like mpu4, and epoch, are harder to find now, especially for collectors and restorers.

Just think..... mpu6 can be gotten brand new from many spares outlets, yes mpu4 and epoch can not, so therefore, are more scarce.

oh ok, so if i save all the epochs an mpu4, scorp3 and 4 and impact boards....in 10 years ill be minted haha! but yes i see you point, based on what is harder to find. but there are tonnes of brand new epoch and scorp 4 boards available.

To be fair because MPU6 is the current tech, and still new, it's not going to be possible to easily find cheap spares like this. All the working machines and boards are going to be on site, no sane operator would discount them very far when they are still worth decent money to them.

I bet mpu6 will always stay higher priced than mpu5, theres no where near as much mpu6 made as yet and as we all know you know cant even buy once its all gone as Barcrest does not support any tech now.
