Hi there need some help on a machine im trying to build, as far as im aware there is no skin built for it.
A few dollars more MPU5 (i think) Empire.
i beleve i have the roms, correct me if im wrong, about 6 files, all ending with extentions like... .p1 .p2
not sure how to load them into mfme to run, well not sure which one i need as the main rom, and sound rom,
i built a machine few years ago, money mad martians, but its been so long my brains gone dead!
has there already been a skin for this machine?

Not sure wether theres already a dx made for this,the roms you need are p1 and p2 they are the game proms and p3,p4 are the sound romsload them in mfme by going into design mode,then design/rom load mpu 5 rom,you nead to use mfme 10.1a,you then nead to find the chr as when the machine boots it will give no charachter alarm.

It won't run as P3 & P4 roms aren't available as far as I know

not trying to correct you dad, know your a pro with the machines as i remember your name from years ago!|
just example, i have crazy capers by empire, with out sound rom, that runs fine with no sound, is this only cause its mpu3/4

Crazy capers DOES have sound roms, as for this a few dollars more, as dad says we don't have all the correct roms, if we did have them it would have been done.
"EDIT" Most machines (exept mpu5) will run without sound.
sound files are usually 512 kb in size ,those are the crazy capers sounds (see pic)

Correct. MPU4 machines have two program files plus separate rom(s) for sound. In this case the emulation will work even without the sound roms installed. In the case of MPU5 you need ALL the roms for it to work - P1, P2, P3 & P4.not trying to correct you dad, know your a pro with the machines as i remember your name from years ago!|

Try loading the roms together as a pair by holding down the CTRL key and clicking sound 2 then sound one, in other words highlighting them both.wierd when i load sound1 rom to crazy capers it crashs, but when i load sound 2 it only plays the third reels nudge sound, as if not all sounds are there, which do i normaly load as i can only load 1

I believe a great deal of the the romsets we have came from Empires BBS which is basically for updated rom revisions. Most of the time a rom update doesn't require the sound to be updated too, therefore no need to add it to the BBS.

while back a made a skin, money mad martians, lost it now, anyone else made that skin and got roms thanks
if anyones just got the roms, im happy to create a new skin, took me 2 days but was well worth it
