Yes I agree this is very nice.

But I release in 1024's too and I prefer to add a cab and a 'sort' of side art (WDX).....It really is down to the designers choice.....

I think this was one of the suggestions in the any Q's for a poll.

If you have time and commitment you can always alter them yourself too (constructive comment)

I also like the 1024 Full Screen layouts :

What I'l do when I finally release my Adders & Ladders [I'll spend some more time on it tomorrow, I just have to enrol at college and then I'm not due in again until Monday] is :

1024x768 WDX [Probably some side art, nothing too extravagent though!]
1024x768 FSDX

I won't bother with a 1280x1024 [at least not at the moment], and the artwork is freely available for anyone else mad enough to attempt it!

Smileys two machines look much sharper graphically than the above one though.

What i like especially with 1024 FS is one can actually read what ALL the text on screen says !

Rocky Horror NOW rocks !

Looks great on my 21inch monitor.

Is it a case of just using an image resizer or more? Could you inform me what i have to do please, to change a 1280 'machine' into a 1024 FullScreen.

Cheers for any help.

Probably due to smileys artwork being done for that size and me resizing a jpg and then skewing it......smileys artwork = hours
my example = 30 seconds   8O

I'll get a 19"cher soon [don't laugh!!]

Seems like they can be had for under £100, and I wouldn't mide the extra space. I just hope that the hopeless ECS Onboard 64mb Shadow RAM Gfx can handle it :)

Hey BB good luck with your onboard graphics. My laptop was absolutely useless. Still yours is newer than mine!

Oh, when I got my 1.4 Centrino Laptop for £420 inc del inc VAT on eBay, I made 100% sure that :

Graphics were ok - 32mb Radeon 9000 [seperate AGP, NOT onboard]
Battery was ok - I get 4 hours watching DivX from one charge :)

Its only 1024x768 but thats fine, the display is nice and bright :)

Plus, Mr Barclaycard loves me for buying it :)

I must have been robbed. I paid 1500 for mine a couple of years ago and the damn thing busted. had to pull out the trusty old 466mhz celeron out of the attic. least its got a 17" monitor but it aint half slow :)

PS: I weren't slagging your laptop off BB mine was just shit for playing games (good for dvds though, i never knew why). just shows how technology is moving on these days.

Yeah, plenty of redrawing goes on until most things are readable, but the price is the time it takes.

As I've said before, there's no reason we can't have versions to suit everyones tastes.

As for monitors, I have a 17inch monitor on the PC I use for most things, but my Mame Cab will have a 21inch monitor, and I'll still be running that at 1024 res (even though it's capable of 1600).

My quote of the week, "it's all good". :D
