£100 is a nice, fair price! Glad to see someone not asking a stupid bloody amount!

Does it have the decals / prize keys and stuff to change the jackpot? I quite like £5 but would be interested in using it on £8, £10 or £15.

The great thing about this machine is the very first feature on the board is hells bells which is jackpot! :o

Although it does usually put you right past it at the beginning but still something which you dont see often! Also its quite prone to IM`s

Nah, its not.

I paid 130 quid for crazy fruits which is a much much better machine (arguably the best BFM ever made...)

100 quid isnt bad, but for a 5 quid machine it should be lower.. the entertainment value is alot less when playing it repeatedly over and over and over.

Plus lookng at it the condition isnt great..

100 pound is a good starting point though :)

R/Q to the seller.

Can you please take some good pics of this and upload them to the repository?

S4 isnt emulated yet, but if that changed somwhere down the line it would be nice to know that machines like this could be emulated.

Thanks

i have just got sheik yer money by barcrest and thats a £15 jp and its in great all round condition and i only paid £120 for it so for a £5 jp i would have thought it would be abit lower than that i have seen £5 jackpot machines go for £70-80 like rob said the entertainment value is alot lower

The machine comes with different stake and jackpot keys, and decals. Had that not have been the case I would probably have edited the post.

£100 for a machine that comes with different keys e.t.c is not that bad a price, MOST that you buy for £80 will have photocopied decals, be stuck on £5, no manual.

Since when has £5 been less fun than £25? Similarly, £5 machines can be worth more to some people as they can be used license free from the start, in kebab shops and suchlike.

BARCREST DOES HAVE A GOOD POINT IT IS LICENSE FREE, AND THERE ARE OTHER JACKPOT DECALS INCLUDING £10 AND £15. AND NOT ONLY THAT,BUT THE SKAKES AND PRIZE IS FULLY SWITCHABLE AND THE PERCENTAGE KEY IS FULLY SWITCHABLE ASWELL. AND THERE ARE 2 YES 2 MANUAL'S TO THIS MACHINE WHICH MEANS U COULD SELL 1 ON EBAY

It's not a bad price.. but I've seen better.

Basically there's a guy selling literally brand new eclipse s4 and s5 even, machines on ebay atm for 150 quid.

The decals are neither here nor there tbh, theyre dirt cheap to buy from BFM anyways.

As for that machine being sold.. its old and wasnt an overly popular machine to start with.

It'll probably sell, but I dont think its worth that much.. I mean, you do realise that a full front end of the latest machine from BFM is only 130 quid?
That includes front door, lamp loom, alpha disp and so on for the LATEST machine.

As for 5 quid vs 25 quid.

5 quid machines are nicer to play, but I think you misunderstood why I made that comment.

If you want a challenge and want to get some time's worth out of a fruit machiine in your house (not in the wild of course) youre mych better going for something with a bigger jp that plays progressively and isnt an easy JP.
Let's face it, no matter what machine it is you're likely to get bored with it (hey , this ones up for sale right?) so my advice after owning a shitload of them (and theyre hard to shift) is to either buy a big named one that will be a classic someday (hence why I got crazy fruits, imagine how much thatll go for 20 yrs down the line?) OR get something thats a rotten evil bag of filth that you have to play for a long while before setting it off on a streak.

5 quid machines are very good in the wild for a small tipple, but they dont offer much in the way of excitement at home, espcecially when youre not winning bugger all anyways.

Just my 20p and change, I dont expect you to agree tho :)

Nah, I do agree, just the fact that I am on bugger all money I guess :(

Anyway, I'm going to put Spiker on £15 for the moment, I think its a good compromise - I don't like £25 in the slightest but machines which were specifically designed for £15 [hence £6 > £8 > £10 > £12 > £12 > £15] on the cash ladder can be a laugh.

When I've been to buy BFM/Mazooma machines from suppliers [and from people on eBay], I've found they attracted higher prices than Barcrest. One reason I could come up with was that no matter how nasty machines like 'Stir Crazy' by Mazooma are, they have very good cashbox returns when sited properly.

All I want it a Monty Python or similar anyway, but then machines like that [such as Homers Meltdown which attracts STUPID prices IMHO], on decent themes with licensed sounds, do tend to go for a lot more that normal machines.

BTW, I've tried getting help from Barcrest before, Decals e.t.c, and I was told 'No selling spares to members of the public' - I emailed them eariler after about a 6 month wait, hopefully I'll get a more positive response, but will BFM really sell bits to members of the public?

bfm will not sell spares to any member of the public unless they are in the trade i.e license holder it is a strict bfm policy

maybe

barcrest are following the same suit who knows

like me i am trade.
but the best thing to do is go through a supplier they maybe able to assist
