Here's another little bit of advice regarding the problems people have been having when they've installed SP2 and the reels in MFME go very slow.
This tip came from a guy called Bravedave over at Fruit Forums and has fixed the speed issues for most people.
Right click desktop, properties, settings, advanced, troubleshoot, and you should see hardware acceleration, just reduce it one notch and apply.
That's all you have to do and it brings the speed back to normal.
