That'll probably be because you are running it in MFME or JPeMu,
Try running it in the latestet version of the BFMulator,
This should solve your problem
Hope this helps

I doubt that trying to run a Scorpion layout in JPemu or MFME would tell you that its not a scorpion layout. I think our friend is running BFMulator, but is trying to load incorrect layouts.
Basically chynacat, there are 3 different Emulators - BFMulator, MFME and JPEmu. You need to make sure you're using the correct emulator when loading a layout. Just make a note of which emulator the layout uses when you download it.
Cheers

you will need to use MFME to open this it wont work on bfmulator
open the zip file into the layouts folder in the mfme directory and it should come up on the games list when you open mfme assuming that the roms and layout are included in the zip

Route 66 requires the MFME emulator. I've just tried it using 2.0 and 9.4 and it works fine ![:)](http://www.fruit-emu.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Further to DAD's response, the FMEIW (installation file) is the original MFME program, there has since been a number of updates, you need to download the newer version of the program. Either from the downloads of Cliffs Repro (link on the left)
