File Name: Criss Cross Cash 1600 DX
File Submitter: ploggy
File Submitted: 03 Feb 2012
File Updated: 03 Feb 2012
File Category: SP.ACE

Here's a rare thing. A spACE machine called Criss Cross Cash, which uses a Fairplay Hi-Lo Reel. It's a mirrored reel, like the ones used on DOND machines and the like. What it basically means is you have a guaranteed chance of winning every Hi-Lo gamble if you correctly guess if the number is higher, or lower than the preceding one. The reel will go dark, and you'll have to guess correctly to win. You can turn the reel lamp off, and see which number it spins to meaning you cant lose, but that takes the fun out of it a bit. ;)

There are a couple of issues with this though. The feature "REEL SKILL" doesn't work correctly. Any feature on the spACE tech that uses the reel will have problems. If you collect the feature, you'll not be able to stop the reel on the symbol you want to. It will just keep on spinning until it times-out, so leave the feature well alone. ;)

Plus, the bank is sometimes erratic when counting-up the wins. Not sure why it does this, but it doesn't affect things too much. Best to use MFME3.2 to play, especially if you cant get to the full 1600x1200 resolution.

Huge thanks goes out to Liam, for the reel images. System 1 for the picture that was used to make the DX, and also Wizard for MFME2.1 which was used to create the layout. :)

The shortcuts for this, are:

Cancel - `
Hold/Nudge 1 - 1
Hold/Nudge 2 - 2
Hold/Nudge 3 - 3
Collect - C
Start - Space
20p Token Insert - 9
£1 Insert - 0

Have fun!

Wow! Great machine - thanks. Whatever happened to the old fair play reel machines. I remember when almost every machine was like this and then all of a sudden they just disappeared. Cheers for bringing back some great memories!!

Another nice ace machine, gave it a good bash! reminds me of the way 3 quid repeater just like grand national.
The most i've ever won on 3 quid enclosure off grand national, 10 jackpots and 9 x 3 quid repeats! (quick silver/ral amusements at haven holiday park down devon cliffs in the 90's)
Never ever had that kind of streak off an ace since.
