As I don't have a Mazooma machine [although no doubt someone on here will], I haven't a clue about 'coins disabled'.
However, sounds to me like an incorrect float level. Insert and turn the refill key, and have a look at the £1 coin level [again, I'm not sure if you have to press any buttons as I don't have a Mazooma]. If it is reading something like £80 even though theres about £1 in the hopper then you need to reset the float level and then refill it.

hello
put say 50 pounds in the hopper and dump the hopper.the float should now be reading 50 pounds or what ever you put in.
now put a £1.00 in with all the doors closed and if it goes into the hopper then you are ok but if it goes into the cashbox then check the sorter overide which is the white plug that goes into the coinmech(not the routing plug!!)if the white plug isn't pushed in properly then that can cause all £1coins to go to the cashbox and not the hopper.
if the white plug is in ok then you have to check the routing plug and make sure all wires are pushed in.
if thats ok then you have a faulty coin mech.
i hope that answers yer problem.

if all coins are going into the hopper when the float is reading 125 then its probably a faulty coin mech.
what type of coin mech is it??

I have not got the refill key, but you can change the float level in the engineers mode, which i have done to £50 coins are still falling through looking at all the conecters they seem to be plugged in, even with the hopper disconected it reads coins disabled so it may be a faulty hopper, the hopper is a C435a (or at least thats the sticker on the hopper) anyknow where I can get a new one or if posible a coumpany that i can call to have a look at it.

c435 is the type of coin mech(don't why it would say that on the hopper.)
next thing to check is on the mpu (the flat big board where all the wires plug into)look to see what the switch settings are(there are about 12-16 switches on 2 banks beside the program cards).
let me know which ones are on and off and i'll check to make sure these are all ok.

sorry been confusing the coin mech with the hopper, as I presumed the problem would lie in where the coins were being routed from. The onl name on the hopper is coin control Ltd serial 310033.
The board is a scorpian 4 board (or so the nice sticker with a picture of a scorpian over the number 4 shows me)
all switchs 1-16 are off!!
switch meanings are:
1 Not Used
2 Credit lost on reset (on)
Credit retained on reset (off)
3 Attract sound on
Attract sound off
4 Wins paid on win
Wins banked
5 Refill full accept
Refill hopper full lockout*
6 Single coins for plays
Multi coins for plays
7 Continue to play when usint empty
Lock out when pay units empty
8 Bank limit £10
Bank limit 5 * JP

You don't give a refill key? What kind of shite company are you dealing with? Unless of course they are very strict on the 'ol 'Cash Disabled / Gaming Board' rules.
Anyway, on a Barcrest, you need to perform 2 simultaneous hopper/float dumps in order to reset the float to zero. By float level, I don't mean the maximum the hopper can hold, I mean the actual level of coins it contains at any one time.
Damn BFM machines, I might end up with a Scorpion 5 next - I believe that Diamond Mine / Cop the Lot were Scorp 5? Great machines on £5 JP, had 7 repeats [actually combos of IMs included but still almost got banned from a bowling alley ]
So, to summarise :
Dump the hopper TWICE, the second time, when the hopper is empty from the first dump, it should change the float level to ZERO. Then, you need to insert the Refill Key [Go to a key cutters and ask for a Lowe and Fletcher 87000], and pour coins through the mech.
With a refill key, at least you could see what the problem is. For example, coins going over the back, but machine claiming £57 or some other dodgy amount in hopper would mean knackered coin sorter / validator, but if it claims it has £125 in the hopper then you need to reset the float balance.

5 Keys?!! Jesus, I've never had more than 3 :S
Normally a Refill [typically a locker key, should have 87000 written at the top], and a key for top and bottom of the cabinet [often the same key for both], and one for the cashboxes.
If you can't get one cut, or they want more than say £5, get one from somewhere like eBay.
