* Project Amber Goes Beta *
I have finally started sending out Beta copies of Amber to testing in a larger group. Its not finished, this is merely phase 1, but that said, its not far off either. The first public release will not be 100% complete but its good enough to run a large proportion of games. There are a few known bugs and I'm hoping that bugs that may appear in other games will shed some light on the cause, the more clues the better.
There are still improvments to be made over the next few days/weeks, but for the most part its all there, just not very refined.
One word: Awesome.

(And of course thanks)

Unless any major updates are required, or critical bugs are found, Project Amber will go public beta on Friday evening. My plan is to release 6pm Sharp. So expect it around 7.30pm - 9pm.
I'll do a full post nearer the time detailing what works/what doesnt. I will endeavour to get some docs written by then. If not there is a reasonable amount of built in help. And a small group of people who know enough to empart knowledge until docs are done.
Dont expect a 100% polished product as you will be disappointed, some features will be "greyed out" for a while.
Updates will be released fairly often in the first few weeks as things get tidied up, bugs dealt with, and a few machine issues get ironed out.
But enough things seem to be working properly to go for a release.

Excellent news Guitar. You've stuck doggedly to this mammoth task these past 5 years or more, enduring the worst that this scene can throw at you, but now you stand tall on the eve of your crowning glory mate. Hats off to you, I say - "well done" would be something of an understatement!
You must feel very proud, and deservedly so.

Did Club Bullion (Crystal) sound ROMs ever turn up ?
I did speak with a seller of a bullion machine a while back, but I think Harvey won the auction and I missed it by a matter of hours
Harv, if you wanna throw me a bone again any chance I could get a copy of the sound ROMs ?
